I think the truth is Wilf wants a London club - preference Arsenal. That none, apart from us of course, have come in has left him in a dilemma.

I was under the impression that the contract extension, with all the fanciful figures in it, expired at the same time as his contract did.

The Wilf saga, has become even more boring than listening to a Starmer speech and sooner it ends the better.

Overall Parish has done a good job for the club.

The misfortune he has is the investors he has brought in appear to have have no appetite for growing Palace. Even though they could help turn us into a top half club with their eyes shut, for whatever reason the chemistry is not there to advance their investment to do this.

There appears to be a lack of chemistry between Parish and some of our managers including Allardyce and Pulis and again between Parish and Textor. Can anyone see the common denominator?

Harris and Blitzer would clearly rather buy a proven top six club for big bucks than participate in the Palace story.

Why do you use words like "clearly" when you are just guessing?

It shouldn’t be a surprise that having got married just a week back, Wilf would have a honeymoon and his career put on some sort of hold ,if only for his wife’s sake. For him and her it can wait.
Once that’s over, he should make some sort of decision for public consumption, probably this week. With that in mind so the speculation grows, apparently according to the rumour mongers he has some of the biggest most prominent clubs in Europe, all boasting the prospect of extended European football, wanting him , PSG, Napoli, just them alone you can’t get much bigger.
On the basis of that it wouldn’t seem someone of ambition would be playing for Palace this coming season. Yet can’t help feeling there is a whole lot of Bull s—t being spread about.

It's being reported that Zaha had discussions with Gerrard last week about joining Gerrard's new club.
The reputed wages would make Palace's offer look like peanuts.
If he's still entertaining offers he clearly hasn't mafe up his mind yet.
This is his right and unlike others I don't hold a grudge against him for that.
For me though the club should take the initiative and plan for life without him and get new forward(s) in asap.
Zaha's a very good player, but one player shouldn't determine our future strategy.
Sometimes it looks like a case of the tail wagging the dog.

This.

As Lanzo has said, we should use the money not now being spent on wages for Wilf, Luka and Jimmy Mac and together with what ever meagre transfer funds we have, go out and get a younger forward and if we can sell Mateta get a loan in.

If Wilf then comes back and says he'd like to return, the club will either have to say "sorry - funds used up" or stump up some extra funds to pay for his return.

If we buy someone in his position we effectively force his hand. A club cannot be held to ransom like this. We simply have to move on, wipe the mural, publicly say thanks and privately say do one. Goodbye - as others I no longer care for this every season. It reminds me of that spoilt family member who mother holds out for every Christmas whilst they make up rubbish excuses - which mummy laps up.

Presumably Zaha’s decision or should I say indecision, is having an impact on two things ;

1. The size of any transfer kitty the club has
2. Transfer targets - should we need to replace him

If I was Parish I would now attach a deadline to Palace’s offer - sign or by the end of this week it’s off the table
