How many people know Robert de Zerbi? Ok, how many knew him BEFORE he signed for Brighton? If it were me I would buy into Star Lizard database and consultancy (Tony Bloom of Brighton founder business) and then use our own analysts to dig out another de Zerbi. They are out there, just need finding that's all. Tech is the future of everything. Won't be long before AI replaces human players with bots........and fans......

Let's not forget the media noise around Adi Hutter. He may still be in the frame. I can confirm that the Austrian public broadcaster (ORF) reports that Adi Hütter had contacts with various clubs, also of the PL. The ORF refers to an interview Adi Hütter gave to the most important German football magazine "Kicker".

Not convinced in either Brendan or Graham. Also don’t think Roy is a long term solution however if we are to stay and compete in the league well have to adopt a brighton/Brentford approach. Academy is stage one, stage 2 should be a data based recruiting with a clear playing style in mind. Don’t think solely relying on DF and his gut is a sustainable approach. With a clear plan and good recruitment it becomes much easier to find a suitable manager. Pains me to say it but that’s why Brighton have done so well, de zebri was no superstar. Just a good manager that suits the way they conduct business. It stricken me as it’s never a change, just continuation.

I'd definitely lay the blame with the owners of Leicester, I might be wrong but I can't think of them spending that much compared to other teams in the league and only city have managed to constantly reinvest and reinvent successfully. The luxury the big clubs have is you might miss out on the top 4 for a couple of seasons, realistically you'll still finish 6th at the very worst you won't finish out the top 10 and can still attract and spend on the best players in the world. You leave yourself with very little leeway when trying to do it at a club the size of us and Leicester. Take the top 6 and now Newcastle, a few clubs with a settled squad and manager then the season you're transitioning, you're never going to be that far In front of the bottom 3 clubs. I definitely wouldn't call rogers a bad manager and any fan that would turn their nose up at him, have delusions of grandeur for our club. They've sold players for £50+m repeatedly, without replacement. Last season they only signed Faes at CB and a backup keeper. Bare in mind they let Fofana leave for £75m. Maddison will leave this summer, and they'll have no star names left. Like us, they seem to have zero money. You could tell Rogers was desperate to be sacked before the world cup, but the speculation at the time was that they couldn't afford to pay him off. I don't understand how a club like Leicester have no money. Where does the tens of millions of pounds go?

Last season Leicester signed 5 players, Bertrand, Vestegaard, Soumare, Lookman (On loan) and Daka.

The majority of us fail tom realize that these managers, they have reputations behind the closed doors of clubs.. we really don't know the half of it - mate works in the Brighton set up and yeah, what he said about potter was very interesting.. made me realize I knew even less. There are managers that cause a scene but get results, some that just follow the orders, some there for pr reasons... I hope - but we haven't had much luck at this, we get a manager that understands us, understands the mission statement and is a bit of a character on the wings.
