Ismael is doing well but has done nothing to deserve or warrant such a big step up to a club like Palace yet.
Even if he had he isn't a good fit right now. We do not have ANY players with the exception of Wilf (who is probably leaving) and Eze (who has recently proved he has much to learn) that can play the way Ismael will want to set up.

Everyone starts somewhere. It's more to do with how good you are than how experienced you are. As I've already said - Coppell, by everyone's argument here, we would never have had him. We would have had Peter Taylor instead, forever, judging by some comments.

You have let yourself down with Lombardo and Popovic comments, as you clearly have no idea what they are doing. Coppell was given a chance when we were nearly bankrupt in the old Division 2 and didnt have much to lose. The game has moved on and the next manager wont be drawn out of a hat, which appears to be your method.

Times have changed in a big way since the Coppell era !!
In those days the very top teams were far closer to the rest of the field and there was nowhere near as much money as now.
With the stakes nowadays so far higher and given the De Boer debacle, the possibility would be at best remote of Parish naming a successor to Roy from this country who does not have proven PL experience.

I’m not sure Chris Wilder would be a good fit for our football club, I’d rather we went with Eddie Howe.

By the same argument we would never have had Coppell. Lombardo is hardly backwards either, although I haven't been following him recently. I am interested how far backwards Lombardo is in comparison to Roy now? I forgot about Ismael at Barnsley, I've always liked Barnsley and nice to see them do well. I wouldn't be too unhappy if we at least considered him.

As for the Wilder and Howe comments, I would have thought those rely on only looking at Roy's successes and only looking at their failures, since they've also had plenty of success, and Roy has actually been known to fail on occasions too.

Coppell had us at the bottom of the Divison 1 for years. He was hardly an overnight success.

I'd take Dyche because he understands getting results with a limited budget, but I'd rather see some money spent and a manager who can take advantage of it. Right now, Roy is getting results with a modest ageing squad. There is no point in moving him on if we don't spend.

Why on earth would anyone think Chris Wilder would be a potential manager for us? He was only manager of Sheff Utd because he was local and they couldn't get anyone else in to do the job for the money. And he has failed at that.

Absolutely not. Jesus, what are you thinking, no. One hand you tell us that Roys defensive approach is too defensive and then you offer Wilder whose attacking options are what?

No. No. No.

People on here calling Wilder a failure do you know anything about Football? The bloke has taken the blades from league one to the premier league without spending a penny. He made journeymen like Norwood, Basham and Mcgoldrick ( on a free) premier league top half players. I think their highest earner was Billy Sharp on 30k a week until they signed Berg last season. Also beat us twice last year. Playing an expensive and high tempo brand of football. No stars but a much better watch than us! They lack a Zaha and some pace in the team but he worked wonders to be fair!

This year their best centre half Oconnel out for the season that was key to their system and they lost their keeper back to Man Utd. Yes he’s spunked some money on Brewster and the new keeper but they’re young and have potential. We spunked money on Benteke and Sakho with no resale value and much higher wages.

Not saying I want him as gaffer but a failure are people for real?

This is exactly what Palace needs. People who take low earners into stars. I think we need to release the big money spends like Ayew, Eze and Ferguson and have Wilder bring up more simple, cheap players.

How high are you?

No high Chaos. Not sure if you saw my last sentence that I’m not saying I want him as palace manager just that I refute your point that he’s been a failure pal! Maybe you’ve been on the funny fags or are not the best at reading geezer!

Funny fags are my favorite of the LGTBQ-crew. I just love 'em. One in my mouth right now.

Well, to be fair, he has been a failure in Premier League. One season when his tactics actually worked, and then when it did not, no ability to rework it. No second formation, no plan b. Nothing.

If there is no ability to evolve, then no Thank You.
