Fuller was on loan with an agreed fee at the end of the loan - we didn't take that up. It was reported that we released him after signing him for £800k but we merely didn't take up the option to buy

I have an abiding memory of Fuller slithering round (and often falling over) in the mud in the torrential rain on that memorable day when it was also raining season tickets. Against Wolves when we were so bad that even Andy Sinton was able to score against us. Anal Smith's last game in charge.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I know it's a bit premature but Joseph Hungbo, signed by Watford last summer, is doing well there by all accounts and even played for them against Man Utd in the cup game last week.

Not quite sure why we was released. I had read several decent right ups on him. Maybe his face didn’t fit, it happens if he has fallen out with coaches.

Collymore was bought from non league for a cool £100k so to sell him after Wright had left for only £150k seemed a strange decision to me. 6 months later he was sold to Forest for over £2m.

If I remember correctly there were rumours of dressing room problems so We decided to cut our losses

He had a dodgy knee(s) I think we would have signed him apart from that. He did have a pretty good career but lots of injuries and time outs in between.

I remember that game, Fuller looked as far away from being a professional footballer as you can get.
