Asking because I just cannot find three fit centre backs in our squad!!?

Mitchell LB and Van An in front of him may work

But basically because our central midfield options struggle to cover the width of the pitch due to age and mobility issues we cannot fit Eze and Zaha and Townsend and a Striker on the pitch

Roy’s rigidity is infuriating, especially when you look at Villa, Leeds and Southampton‘s progress. We have a good Premier League squad, including PVA, it the players play with shackles on.

So change our whole formation and tactics and go with a formation that Roy has never ever used to suit 1 average player ?

Much simpler (if we are going to play him at all) just to play PvA at LM in front of Mitchell for the games where we are up against the better teams

Even simpler just leave PVA on the bench where he belongs. He has been playing as though he is in one man team for a while now. I’m happy Mitchell has returned from injury and is showing decent form.
