Not convinced we deserve to be behind despite Spurs having more of the ball. Nice 5 minute spell by us at the end of the half. Free kick count 8-2 in favor of Spurs!

Wilf slows the attack down too much, gives the opposition time to crowd him out.
As good as he is at running at attackers, his close control isn't that great imo.

Feel a little for Guiata, was having a great half and dropped a clanger. Then, just after made another great save.

Our attacking play hasn't been incisive enough, would like them to bail VG out. If we get another free kick let's actually test Lloris.

Think we look a lot better, definitely still competitive in this game.

My gripes would be stop with the fancy flick attempts and just play the ball, also PVA looks low on confidence for some reason reason don’t let him near set pieces. Disappointed with goal but Guaita seems to have that in him.

Asides from that COYP!!!!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

This game is brewing nicely for Townsend to come on and change the game.

I am hopeful that we could nick something, but even a positive performance will boost. Don't want last week to be a flash in the pan.

Nah, let him get a straight red, then we aint gotta bother about him over xmas. He'll get an automatic 1 game ban as it stands for more than 5 yellows.

He was unlucky today, but generally he's bordering on professionally negligent these days with the suspensions he picks up. I don't mind if he's taking yellows for fouls that prevent dangerous counter attacks, or even a good old reducer on some twot like Kane, but three quarters of his bookings are for no good reason.

Now Eze can take dead balls I'm starting to wonder what Luka has left to offer.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't remember us playing a half of football with such confident, accurate passing in years.

These sort of games are really a freebie. You don't expect to win, especially against a very strong Spurs side, but it's a big bonus if you can get something.

We were very competitive in that first half, had chances and it was only a goalkeeping error (after several very good saves) that cost us. Ultimately if we carry on in the same way it won't be too disappointing even if we do lose.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...
