We appear to have killed Ayew, very sad business and Townsend had a very good first half tonight, PVA was lost without Zaha in front of him and we had four great moments where we went with a lovely run until they panicked and did a professional this part of the game needs more then just a yellow because a free kick with their whole team organised in defending themselves is not the correct outcome.

Batshuayi is totally unable to read a pass and Benteke has mentally lost it.

Our defending is disastrous, Kouyate tried to head a ball clear of danger and instead gave it to the one player Burnley have who needs no help in scoring, it was quite similar to Kelly's wonderful pass to Ings at Southampton ...almost quite funny how we help teams struggling with confidence.

Agree. I was flabbergasted when Hinchcliffe? said Andros had played well and shouldn't be substituted. He had an awful 2nd half and got worse the longer the half went on.

I expect him to do something when he is virtually put through one on one in the very last minute... Would you not expect that or were you happy with how he performed in that situation??

I suggested him to make an appearance off the bench as Batshuayi and Ayew were dreadful and I thought maybe Benteke's physical presence might help our cause.

We all know about Benteke's scoring record and with Batshuayi having only scored 1 goal in his last 22 club matches, and that being against Hull,we really had some goals in our squad tonight!!!!

The hilarious thing about Benteke is the ball seeks him out all the time, only for him to butcher wide open chances.

His last attempt today was classic, the ball was threaded through 10 players, arrives right at the feet of Benteke in the box with a wide open goal in front of him, and he panics and completely blows the chance. No one else would ever get a ball like that.

It's like the gods of football get a laugh out of watching him fail.
