The world is not a better place and it is people like you who are stirring up division when there isn't any problem in the first place.Had enough of all this crap.

For me the team that finished 3rd in the league in the early 90s, minus barber and pardew.
Weighty got me is the most talented I’ve ever seen raw and as game as f*ck
Plus
- Michael Hughes , pit bull of a player. Surprised no one has mentioned him
-Jansen pure quality, (robbed by injuries, gave Palace £100 grand when we were going out of business )
-AJ unplayable at his best and must be our best ever signing. AJ plus 5 mil for Clinton
-Murray , loved him, went far to early
-Best ever loan , Paul Stewart
-Gary Thompson , hard as f*ck.

Don’t think that any of the current team would be in my best 11.

Times are indeed different but even so Vince is brown/black and we have had some wonderful Black players and at no time was the chant derogatory.

In as much as you can say white person you can equally state black person. There have been many horrendous and offensive terms to describe people over the years but I think this is a bit ott.

I’ve made my point, I’ll let others have their own opinion on yours.

The song "Brown girl in the ring" was not considered at all offensive. Boney M had 3 black girls in it.

So "Brown boy on the wing" at that time would have amused Vince I reckon. Harmless I think. Any black fans offended?

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

I have to go back to my early supporting days of the mid/late 70s.
Jim Cannon was probably my favourite. Was always relieved when he was playing.
Vince Hilaire the most exciting but also the most frustrating of players (not unlike Wilf).
Kenny Sansom the most amazing tackler I've seen, Could steal the ball off an opposing winger who was going at full speed without even touching him. The number of times a winger would carry on in full flight when the ball had gone. But then, of course, the Arse came...
The Good Old Days!

My two favourites were Hayden Mullins and Chris Armstrong. Mullins because he was so much better than the rest of the team and felt like he floated across the pitch.

Armstrong was just quality and ahead of his time. Would thrive in today's game.

Really - on that basis I’m your age and would never refer to anyone “as the brown boy on the wing” - I find that totally unacceptable inappropriate and abhorrent...!!!

Well said, will we ever learn?

The wingers that get the levels of anticipation rising and the sound of seats banging as the fan stands up will always be my favourites .

The best of those ,the most productive was probably Peter Taylor but the one I loved to watch the most was Yannick . He just did so many daft unexpected things ,worth the entrance fee on his own .

Bolasie was great to watch when he was on it. He had such quick feet and the flick against Tottenham was a thing of beauty.

Shaun Derry - for steering the ship in 2010 when everyone else was jumping off.

Chris Armstrong

Aki Riihilahti

Yannick when he was at his peak with mazy runs

Wilf - goes without saying, though I don't think he will ever reach what we all thought was his full potential
