i think it's time to drop Zaha. He's been poor all season but since lockdown he been awful.

Unfortunately very little competition but maybe bring Townsend back in or push PVA further forward and let young Mitchell have a game.

I love Wilf but enough is enough

I'm not necessarily agreeing with you BUT it would be interesting to see how our team would set up without Wilf NOT because he was injured but because he had bee dropped. What would that do to the team mentality?

It may help if he’s not liked by the others. Definitely something not right with the team in past few games so maybe there is some disharmony. I’m just speculating though.

I think he might be struggling with playing in empty stadiums. Maybe he needs the crowd there to get him going.

No idea what is goin on in the mind of Wilf. If he truly want to "win things" he has to show the big clubs he means business. Now they probably look at him like a sulking little boy - if we get 35-40 mill. for him this summer, I hope we say bye-bye. PS! Even if he is my favorite player enough is enough of his disinterest - shame on you, Zaha!

Even when Wilf is not firing on all cylinders he is still good enough to make our team in my opinion. We've only got Benteke,Ayu,Townsend and Wilf competing for 3 places. Thats the difference between us and Chelski ... they have Loftus Cheek, Batshuyai and a host of talented options waiting on the bench.

Brilliant finish of game from Zaha - him and van Anholt a deadly combination!

Or he might just be better on the right.......

He did some great things at the end of the game. Should have had an assist at that cross in the 94th minute.

And that pass for Benteke left him all alone with the gk. But Benteke needed years to shoot.....

I may be reading too much into this, but I was struck by how the team responded to his goal. More than simply ratcheting up their efforts in professional-athlete fashion, they looked energized as if eager to honor Wilf's effort as a teammate. Maybe that's the optimist in me, but I sensed a "C'mon lads!" spirit that has been missing lately, and I attribute it partly to the fact that it was Wilf who scored -- and so emphatically, at that.

Much better performance from Zaha and the whole team yesterday and a smashing strike.
I do wonder if he wanted to impress more as playing against a team / club who are a potential suitor.
