It’s all become a bit turgid and stale at the moment and relegation will freshen it up for me, new manager, completely different team, different style of play hopefully. Yes it could end up a financial disaster and we’re not guaranteed a decent season, but after 7 years slugging it out in the premier league, I’m bored with it now.

They’re not positives, just how I feel as a fan, someone who doesn’t have to worry about the financial side of it as I don’t run the club, someone who just goes to watch the football, someone who just goes to watch palace, not who we’re playing against.

This is a hugely refreshing comment. Football with your local team has far more to do with watching entertaining games than it does trying to hobnob with those we know we are struggling to compete with. Football is supposed to be about entertainment first, but people seem to have lost sight of that.

Well at least those below us either drew or lost this weekend. Was a bit worried for a while watching Bournemouth today.

Entertainment went out with 4 banks of 4 or training drill type matches, whether that be big v small teams or big v big.

If we do have any decent players in the championship they’ll be gone before their area of residence is known.

No.. don't even want to consider relegation. However, Roy and Ray do need to use the next couple of weeks to think carefully about how we get the 10 points needed to stay up. Perhaps they will now throw caution to the wind and go for it for it a bit more. There was a short 5 minute spell after we scored that we actually looked lethal. The shackles were off...loved it. No, I don't think Roy should stay, but he is our manager, so will support him.

The maturity of squad may actually work in our favour. The players are not stupid, if we go down they have much to lose....how many of them would find other clubs willing to match their current salaries? They are also fighting to ensure their standard of living remains unchanged.

So 4 crucial, winnable games coming up. A few years ago we created the most amazing 12th man atmosphere both home and away. The time has come to recharge our own batteries and support the team we all love.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Everyone can have an opinion and some may think relegation has positive aspects, if they are stupid or simply looking for an arguement.

Moving on

No. It is only stupid people that think that their opinion is the only correct one and anyone that differs must be stupid

I'd keep away from 'general talk' and the news/politics threads if you think this is bad - tbf to the moaners though you don't need a crystal ball to see it all going pear shaped - we've done well fire fighting and using some very expensive plaster to cover the cracks, but lack of strategic investment could well see a small aging unbalanced squad susceptible to injuries flirt with the drop, and relegation with our current wage bill and contracts would be potentially disastrous, you're generally right though, a win and its Europe a loss and its the end of the world - we should not take our time in the top flight for granted.
