Don’t forget they also have recruited reasonably well, unfortunately Did the same as us today against an organised and well oiled team, totally outplayed.

Any striker regardless of quality will see exactly the same. We do need a new striker but the midfield needs to change as well as you say. Edited by Booted Eagle (10 Nov 2019 11.08am) Everyone is comparing us to the likes of the top teams in this league, we are miles away from competing with them when they play well, Arsenal played badly, Chelsea played brilliantly like Spurs did in their first half, Leicester played with us, Man.U stuttered badly and Man.C pissed all over us, get over it folks ..if Southampton outplay us then we could be in trouble.

A well known manager once said the best teams are made up of ‘7 hod carriers and 3 violin players’ for the ten outfield players.

When we get a corner it’s nearly always an advantage to the opposition. Can’t remember last time it Ed to a goal. Same foe free kicks

Football has been terrible. Tactics have been terrible, recruitment and all round handling of it has been terrible. Our only saving grace is an experienced group of players and thankfully the league has been pretty poor this season. Get liverpool out the way and it wouldn't surprise me going into the new year challenging for the top 8. Will be terrible to watch tho

I have been reading the Liverpool Predictions thread and this thread and as we are looking forward to a loss against Liverpool there is no greater risk (of that loss) is a "B" team is played. I am sure we will all be happy if Roy starts with a neglected players team, with perhaps some Academy players - Nia Kirby, Jason Lokilo, James Daly, Robert Street, Henry spring to mind - played from the start, on a survive or be replaced basis. The risk would be lose 5 - nil - not unexpected, possibility of being done for playing a weak team, win 5 - nil, men in white coats waiting for Roy, and Mr Linaker speechless.

Loyalty to players is a commendable trait and many players seem to respect this in Roy.

It's not good to watch but I think it's more of a case of damage limitation than having a go. Lose by a couple instead of going toe to toe and getting battered. Would like to see if Camarassa is useful in this set up and sell Meyer at the earliest opportunity.
