I guess the reason for them both in your view being anonymous would be because of the tactics we employed. We were very defensive which meant that each player had very strict areas to operate in. When we went 2 down our tactics changed along with players and Wilf became more proactive. Kouyate had gone off by then.

I don't think he will ever be a first choice regular in any position, squad player standard, we seem to have a lot of them.

He is the reason we don’t need to sign another centre half, we have Tomkins, Sakho first/second choice, Kelly third choice and if Dann goes which he probably should, Kouyate fourth choice. In a way that could work well for us and open up a space for someone a little more inspirational in midfield.

He also has his moments with surging runs from midfield, a sort of poor mans Toure. Good squad player, I would keep him.
