For me, it's the fact that his teams have always leaked goals. I have supported him, despite not wanting him, until now. He made it clear we had to be better at the back, and we looked as bad as we have done in three years. Because of his teams' defensive records I can't see him fixing our defence. By the way, if people think Allardyce's teams are better at the back look up his record. His teams leak more goals than Pardew's, so he unlikely to do much better. this is my point, if were going to replace the man, lets at least get somebody much better

Julian Nagelsmann 45 points from 24 matches in the Bundesliga since he took over Hoffenheim in February. They were second from bottom, now they are 5th. Only 14 goals conceded in 12 games this season.

We'd be back to square one, or worse, with three of those and only one would be decent for the very short term. To me, the club is moving in the right direction when it talks in terms of creating a style of football that they choose a manager for, like Sevilla, or they try to grow all their own home country players like Sassuolo. That way, the disruption between managers is minimized.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

If a Chinese billionaire came in tomorrow and bought the club and bought in a big sexy foreign manager like Klinsmann we'd have a meltdown. Incredibly daft recommendation IMO. I'd rather get Dougie back than get Jurgen.

If we did change manager I'd love either Martin O'Neill or Garry Monk. Not sure either would leave their respective posts though.

Brian Blessed. If we're going to go down entertaining then let's up the ante. He could manage from the lower holmesdale and still be heard.

Trouble is Hoffenheim would be very reluctant to lose him and he may not want to leave anyway. He could also be one of those people that is a good fit for one club (e.g Eddie Howe?) but not so spectacular elsewhere.

Lots of people don't like Sam but I don't think he'd be the worst choice - he got Sunderland to click pretty well towards the end of last season, with an inferior squad to ours. I'd take him or Mancini (whether he'd take us.....)

I'd take him or Mancini (whether he'd take us.....) I don't think competence is the problem with Allardyce. He was appointed to the England job, whereas Pardew's chances of sitting in that seat are obviously in the realms of porcine aviation. Nor would I be bothered about his indiscretion: he will have learned that lesson. I was more concerned about fit, we don't want to be another Sunderland. But with Pardew it won't be Sunderland we turn into, it'll be Clowntown. Allardyce would probably keep us in the league. Pardew is nailed-on relegation. Edited by chateauferret (26 Nov 2016 9.04pm)

Foreign coach please. Laurent Blanc is my choice. Played and coached at the highest level. Out of work at the moment. Parrish and co get on the Eurostar now and get him signed up.
