Both Muslim.... so no real surprise?

Once again Hoof, your ignorance and borderline racism on the matter continues to astound me.

Turkey do have a lot to answer for, particularly in their aggressive position against the Kurds, who are one of the major forces preventing IS from spreading further into Northern Syria and Iraq. But few nations have more to fear from IS than Turkey, given that IS follow a prophetic line which explicitly mentions retaking Istanbul.

Oh, and of course we could go in to the fact that IS are a far greater threat to Shia Muslims than to white Christians, or the fact that in Yemen IS bombed a mosque full of Zaidi Sunnis as well, or the fact that every single group on the ground fighting IS are predominantly Muslim. But then I guess it's much easier just to be a racist isn't it?

Right... stop calling me a racist every time I post something it is getting boring and tedious.

Is Turkey a Muslim country?

Are ISIS a Muslim terrorist army?

Even you cannot argue that the answer to both questions is yes, so what I have written is fact.

You may not like what I say, but when it is factual you have no right or cause to call me a racist.

Grow up man.

I second this. Everybody is well aware of hh's contempt for those from different cultures.

Just when did Muslim get classified as a race ?

Sorry mate your talking shyte, on the one hand you claim Hoof is ignorant, then you proceed to accept what a bunch of b******s they are to the Kurds ?

Make your mind up time.

Hoof is ignorant because he is clumping all Muslims together with no attempt to understand the intricacies of a religion which around 20% of the world adhere to. The Kurds and Turkey is actually a classic example of this: although both are nominally secular, each is predominantly Muslim, and yet rather than all singing from the same hymn sheet as Hoof seems to think they do, they are engaged in a war which goes back almost a hundred years.

And Islamophobia is very clearly racialised. I think this article is pretty good in summing up why: [Link]

Hoof is getting a bit cheesed off with a plonker that keeps calling him ignorant unjustifiably.

Muslims are a problem to world peace, whether they are the peoples front of Judea or the Judean Peoples front (apologies to Monty Python).

Not only can they not decide who is right and who is wrong about the prophet mohammed and whether he had cornflakes for breakfast - they are prepared to kill each other over it and the rest of us for not believing in any of it FFS.

You are an irritating twerp that over thinks every situation you debate on.

Threat to world peace? I think maybe, but that the issue runs a lot deeper, and that maybe its more a fact that Islamist groups have become the threat to Western Interests, that was previously the purvey of the Soviet Union.

Given the number of, often selective, military interventions of the UK and US (and some of our client states) that also a part of the cause. The reality of the US foreign policy and increasingly our own has added to and fuelled the fire of Islamic fundamentalism internationally.

But the UK and US policy with Afghanistan, Israel, Iraq and Libya - along with drone strikes in pakistan and the rest of the world has it seems created a greater problem than previously existed. Russia's actions in Chechnya haven't exactly helped, along with the reluctance for the 'Good Guy West' to get involved with the protection of Muslims in Bosnia (which Hezzbollah did)

Nothing occurs in a vacuum.

Once again the PC brainwashed have diddly to say regarding the topic, but plenty to say regarding a comment that irks their pathetic sensibilities.

The Istanbul Government does support the local indigenous ethnic Turk population.

The ignorance here is amazing.

Bullsh1t. Muslim is a religion not a race, Jews can only be jewish if they are born from a jewish mother, so maybe there is more scope for Jews to be called a race, still very tenuous. As for Islam/Muslim I could decide to be a muslim tomorrow, and I am white English, I hasten to add I would rather my arse healed up than become a backward thinking woemn hater.

Muslim/Islam is no more a race than Jedi Kinight.

If you add up the standing armies of the Middle Eastern countries (Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan etc. etc.) they have about 5 million troops, mostly equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry.

Yet it's a coalition of Western nations who is taking the fight to ISIS.

It's long overdue that the nations of the Middle East took responsibility for the s*** going on in the Middle East. I didn't see any Arabian forces in Northern Ireland in the 70s and 80s...

Yes but they already have oil.

I actually agree with you 100% why the hell is the west involved in this.

Not the most intelligent or correct post ever.

Muslims like Sikhs and Jews are religious groupings. Perhaps out of the three Sikhs are closest to being a single race.

Try the Human Rights Act 1998 or the Race Relations Act 2000.

I would suggest reading "From race to religion : The new face of discrimination".
