I don't think he has stated it publicly and fair play to him for keeping his private life private.

I for one don't give a s*** what or who he does. That's his business.

The question of pedophilia has no supporting evidence, and until it does, it is very unfair to talk about it like it is fact.

Supposedly a Blue until she met husband Bobby, who as a protestant boy was a Red.

Liverpool used to be a pretty sectarian kind of place.

Saw there was still an Orange Lodge near Anfield when went up there for the away game in 2013.

Evertonian Tory but at least they'd not be hypocritical enough to buy the commemorative issue of The Sun.

RIP

I didn't think Cilla came across as very nice in the dramatisation which she presumably approved and collaborated with. One should not judge form a TV program of course.

As for Cliff. Someone apparently ITK told me long ago that he was gay.
I have often suspected that in trying to conceal your sexual preferences you leave yourself open to more sinister allegations. A symptom of different times.

If Cliff came out as gay now, no one would care, but I suppose a few of the blue rinse brigade might stop buying his records.

You would have to live on Mars to not realise 'Kitty' was gay.

Nothing wrong with that and given his audience (teenage girls who wanted him in the 50's-60's / Menopausal sexually frustrated housewives 70's-80's / OAP's smelling of piss and Werthers and single women with lots of cats from the 90's onwards) its obvious why he kept it quiet for his career.

The allegations of his involvement in the Elm House and other Paedo rings though has been out there for some years - and very strongly and certainly strong enough to warrant investigation - how thorough that investigation will be given the names and establishment figures linked to it and Sir Cliff'll is a matter for conjecture....

True, and my comments were a bit silly there. I actually don't really believe they are likely to be true. But then I was convinced that about Rolf Harris and he ended up locked up. Too easy to tarnish someone's name these days though.

Its important to remember that Elm House wasn't solely used by Pedophiles, but people also seeking discretion, and was popular among gay men of the era.

Its also important to stress that at the time the age of consent for gay men was an absurd 21, compared to 16 for hetrosexuals, and that several known 'sex offenders' at the time were in fact guilty of having sex with men who would have been of legal consent in the modern age.

The events coming out about Elm guest house seem to revolve around one or two pedophile groups who used it (the Sparticus club I think are one). Other groups, such as gay and bdsm groups regularly used the place, presumably for the same reason the nonusers did; it was discrete.

Being gay would be the very least reason I could think off for not buying his records.

I always find it weird that its being a pedophile that ended Garry Glitter's career, rather than being utter sh*t.

Sorry chap but if you were between around 8 and 14 years old in the 70's, then Glitter, Sweet and Slade were Glam gods.
The likes of Bowie and Bolan were for the older kids back then.

I still listen to that stuff now and a lot of it it still sounds good.
Glitter f""""d himself by being a pervert, Brian Connolly killed himself drinking but the music still brings back fond memories of my childhood and TOTP.

Just before my time, I was 8 in 1979. I get the love of Bowie and Bolan (maybe even Slade), but the Glitter and the Sweet I struggle with seeing as anything other than hangers on to that scene.
