Without wishing to lower the tone of the debate, did you see how the Greek finance minister turned up for his meeting with the Chancellor?

[Link]

I think it's brilliant!

Great stuff Assume his laid back image is a deliberate attempt to try highlight how different his party is to the guys (and gals!) in suits presently ruining Europe.

So different that he met Deutsche bank in the Four Seasons hotel in London. That'll have been cost effective.

They're more of an IBIS type economy.

Well, that's the way PR works. It's about focousing peoples attention where you want it. Haven't any stories about the Four Seasons, seen a few about the Greeks leather jacket.

Good PR. Spending more than you need when you're moaning about being potless.

Spending more than you need on what?
I think they are moaning that they have been stitched up.

Some expected capitulation from the new Greek government. Doesn't seem likely.

Wait until the end of the month when the current bailout will grind to a halt.

They've pinned their colours to the non-austerity mast, how could they possibly give in without the electorate reacting. They now have to stay the course.

Proper f**ked. Although in fairness to them, even if they had any cash, it would mostly go to paying the IMF loans and European Bank and they're dependent by the sounds of it, on the loans to finance the loans from the bail out.

Probably, not a good time to invest in a Tavana...

Country probably can't afford a suit for him, until the bail out plan is agreed. He's had to borrow that get up from the bloke who rents the pedellos.
