Yep, I found this with Muslims in the teaching world. It just isn't an issue. As usual it's the fruitcakes that create a problem that wasn't there to begin with. Sorry, but the irony of this is fantastic
Can anyone point to one real-life example of when they've been criticised, shamed or even challenged for calling it Christmas?

That’s absurd! To suggest these people go around, claiming outrage and offence where there is none, just to justify their own hatred at failing in life, for financial gain or to just otherwise gain attention or a platform they were unable to attain it elsewhere is surely preposterous! Who has claimed outrage or offense at the word Christmas?

Sorry, but the irony of this is fantastic This 'problem' doesn't exist outside of right-wing tabloids every December and a few over-zealous HR trainees at a university. Can anyone point to one real-life example of when they've been criticised, shamed or even challenged for calling it Christmas? I understand why it would seem ironic to someone of your politics. However, perhaps what it really shows is the prism by which you see opposite ideas in stereotypical terms. You may dismiss something like this, which on the face of it only matters to traditionalists. However, the same type of progressives, who apparently are limited in scope, have enabled corporations, nay whole modern disciplines to completely change in nature in theory and practice. We are now living in an age where twenty percent of young people don't even know their gender and thousands of young children, the youngest being three years old in the US, are having physical sex changes to their bodies and yet you want to refer to over zealous HR trainees. Having lived through this change I can remember when exactly the same point you made was repeated at me. Forgive me if I don't agree with you.

2 for 2 on irony. The rest of your post is a phenomenal stretch.

Who has claimed outrage or offense at the word Christmas? I didn’t say ‘Christmas’ in my post. Why did you say ‘Christmas’? Furthermore, could you provide more clarity as to the motivation for your describing university staff as ‘over-zealous’? Edited by Nicholas91 (13 Dec 2022 7.06pm)

Perhaps because of your limited prism. Unfortunately for your argument, you displayed precisely what you thought on the matter. All your colours displayed.

I actually think it is a good thing that 'Christmas' is something that the Left try to cancel. Helps create the sort of division we need if we are ever to truly accelerate the kind of secessionist movement that is now the only logical outcome of what we are living through.
