Living in an homogeneous area and pining for the Brixton crew and massive. You'd think that an accountant would care more about truth as fundamentally that's what maths is about.....Though as we know about some accountants, some prefer cooking to accuracy. So really, I'm not that surprised you're happy with half truths as perhaps you are used to them. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 May 2019 4.42pm) Sound a bit rattled mate.

Morrissey is a bellweather for just how quickly society has shifted and how much the media is responsible for a normie's views and how activist organisations are....or activist scared I should probably say. When they refer to him as 'far right'.....it makes me laugh.....the old, 'war is peace', 'up is down' brigade. Even if he was removing his posters is completely insane....he's making a living. They will be burning his records next. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 May 2019 1.47pm) Yes for decades he's managed to be a contrarian I find, unpopular with most, due to always being the polar opposite of the zeitgeist. He certainly says things that are occasionally out there or designed to provoke reaction, and has overly black & white views, but his consistent focus on freedom of speech, expression and animal rights sounds about right to me and counts for something. As you say, he was just advertising a new release. It appears to be an album of cover versions such as Roy Orbison's, It's Over. How very controversial!

You managed it....have a peanut. But I've used that phrase on you enough times...so fair enough. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 May 2019 7.14pm)

I've always admired the person who is willing to suffer for their principles, independent of whether I agreed with their politics....similar to why I have time for Sanders or Trump (the willingness to be unpopular)......mind you with Morrissey that's just my impression of him. Perhaps he's just more committed to being a contrarian than anything else and that if suddenly the west decided to flip into veganism that we'd find him outside a KFC tucking into a chicken leg. But I doubt it.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'BBC fake news - Tommy Robinson' by Midlands Eagle Robinson doesn't get his seat. I suppose it goes to show just how powerful the media is in its distortion of events and in denying any message but their lies to get through. Also he was obviously put down last on the candidate list. Nevertheless I'm just glad he got through it with his life. I seriously hope this guy moves aboard because he has a target on his head and the state are complicit......Well if they let him move aboard as the state seem obsessed with locking him up on BS charges. He should come back in twenty years when I think the environment and attitudes towards what he was saying will be a bit different.

Says the Lib Dem voter. At least the vote was close. I think I have a similar number of people coming to my wedding.
