Yeah has handed control of Chelsea to the Chelsea Charitable Trust or some such organisation Yup but my paper doesn't say he has "given" it to them. So does that mean he still owns it? Probably, and who sits on this Trust and who do they they report to? Until I hear further it's like the conman who puts everything in his wife's name.

People like him need to have their assets seized and held in trust until Putin has gone and only returned to him if it can be shown he has helped in his removal.

That made me smile! Keep walking and ease up on the drinking, and it will go.

I think this is your perspective, however I just don't think that's going to happen. I support the Ukrainian resistance and Putin has committed a great if predictable wrong, however I'm going to be calculating rather than emotional and just say what I see happening. Putin isn't stupid, invading and occupying parts of Ukraine that don't have a sizable Russian population would be foolish....that's the kind of thing the west did in the middle east. Instead as has been said previously it's more likely that Putin doesn't over extend and that he clears out resistance within borders that he creates. We will support and should support what is defendable, which won't be East Ukraine....there we have to plead for reason not show trials. Over the next two weeks he takes East Ukraine and installs a Russian friendly puppet, the west continues reinforcing Nato borders and continues with its combination of hurt hippy language and seemingly aggressive statements that have no actual committal meat to them....essentially we have Cold War 2. The west uses sanctions but once fighting stops looks to normalise relations due to gas and food prices hurting us just as much as Russia....well more in fact as they have significant reserves and where there is demand for their resources there is supply. Essentially Putin saw the weakness while the west deluded itself. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 Feb 2022 3.08pm) Any evidence for this?

The chairman of the Trust is none other than Bruce Buck who is also Chairman of Chelsea FC.

Like my analogy if you can prove to a court that the conman has shifted his assets to his wife (Tommy Robinson?) to avoid payment the court will seize them. So I think this is about political will. Priti Patel will introduce a new emergency law this week on seizing assets so if the government want to do it they will, RA will no doubt contest it in court.

Any evidence for this? The current euphemism used is irrational. Perhaps not stupid but distant from common sense. Stirlingsays reckons it's a slam dunk. It won't be. The puppet state cannot possibly survive without a sitting army as the ongoing western fed resistance will make it impossible. Thus... This side stepping of sanctions to avoid any politically damaging backlash such as prices at the pumps or hurt to the financial market will make us look weak when Russians inevitably upgrade the attack on civilians resulting in the bombing of an orphanage or they revert to chemical weapons etc. Sanctions will be intense and putin will be looking for a face saving out.

Sanctions and no fly zones will stymy virtually all movement though.

The Germans are really ramping up their position against Putin. The Swift expulsion will soon be in place. Ukrainian resistance continues and now the International Court.
