Aside from the borderline violent aspects of it, I view it as a form of censorship, combined with lacking an argument. If you have an argument you state it, you don't throw things at people. So it demeans us all, both arguments for and against, and replaces discussion with media coverage of childish infringements of personal place.

Morrissey posters removed from Merseyrail stations [Link] This is especially dumb because it's worse than the censorship of an opinion, it's the censorship of an album release from someone who happens to hold some opinions from some people are offended by. Talk about grasping at straws. Merseyrail apologised and said the posters did not reflect its "values", even though there's not even an opinion in sight, just a picture of a person who evidently isn't allowed one and so must be hidden away. Cancel culture on steroids.
