What is creepy, but unsurprising, is your support and celebration of the brainwashing of children, sexual deviants and the casual termination of nascent lives. What is actually creepy is that you think I do support and celebrate such things. That you do is seriously weird.

This old nonsense again. People are free to choose where they live, or retire to. Which is why I am here, having spent my working life in places as diverse as Plymouth, Tewkesbury, Coventry, High Wycombe, Dereham, Wisbech and Cebu in the Philippines. I left the London area as a young man to follow my career and soon realised that the hectic nature of life there did not suit me. It had, and has, nothing whatsoever to do with multi-culturalism. There is nothing to stop anyone moving from anywhere they feel uncomfortable if that is their priority. The problems come when those who live in a certain area are told by those who don't that their opinion is wrong. Rural people are quick to point out that "city folk" don't understand country ways but think they have all the answers when it comes to urban life.

"A mass of Latin words falls upon the facts like soft snow, blurring the outline and covering up all the details. The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. When there is a gap between one's real and one's declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish spurting out ink." [Orwell]

Let's remember that he only accidentally stumbles onto gay nudist beaches before quickly retreating. The fact that he managed to provide a suspiciously full description of what he saw has absolutely no bearing upon his desire to rush away....no doubt tripping on some soap as he called out 'chase me, chase me'.

Rural people are quick to point out that "city folk" don't understand country ways but think they have all the answers when it comes to urban life. Of course they don’t think they have all the answers. I certainly don’t know all the problems that people face. All I know is that I don’t enjoy city life. For many reasons, none of which match the general expressions of discontent expressed here. What others feel is their business. My comments are mostly directed to those who seem to think I cannot hold any opinion on multi-culturalism, or any aspect of modern life, just because I choose to live in Cornwall. They seem to think your brain ceases to function as soon as you cross the Tamar bridge. I also get tired of those who constantly complain but fail to do anything to alleviate their discomfort. If it’s so important then move. Life’s too short to live like that. The world has changed, not just London. Complaining about it won’t make the slightest difference so either get used to it, or do something that’s actually possibly. Change what you have the power to change.

If it was as straightforward as just moving then estates would be pretty empty. Family and/or work and financial commitments have an impact. It's also not easy for many to just up sticks and move, at least until they reach retirement age.

It's a board and thread for discussion. if people don't come with differing ideas, then threads would be pretty short. That is why most posters ignore your contributions. It's pointless discussing anything with you,.....except for the humour value of course.

This obsession with something that happened quite locally when, together with my wife, I was exploring a remote headland looking for a fishing spot, is really quite strange. I am sure we won’t have been the only people to have experienced this. Now we know who use the area we give it a very wide berth but have a clear recollection of where it is, if that’s important to anyone. As it seems it is. Very odd.

I don’t recall suggesting anyone lacks intelligence. Gullibility certainly, but that’s different. If people want to defend their positions that’s fine. If they don’t that’s fine too. My purpose is to expose the hypocrisy and not allow obviously frail arguments to stand unchallenged. This is an extremely odd corner of the world. Something that most who populate it will have absolutely no acceptance of.
