Yeah... cos loud opinionated idiots in the pub often get to be Billionaires and USA Presidents.

The difference with Trump is that he can't be arsed with protocol and diplomacy.... he gets things done.

I find it refreshing.

But its not how democracies are supposed to work. Its not actually democratic, to pass laws without representation of the people.

The great benefit of dictatorships, is that they get things done, without having to worry about things like protocol, due process and diplomacy.

Protocol and diplomacy are kind of essential to the job of leading or running a democracy. We don't elect an overlord, just a leader.

Depends on the kind of pub you hang out in. Trump is really a billionaire on the basis that his father was rich.

Being wealthy and successful doesn't mean your 'not that guy', its just that you're probably the loud drunk opinionated cock in a very sw***y exclusive bar that has ridiculously overprice drinks.

He's done fvck all Hoof except make America look the opposite of 'Great' so far. He is a little corporal born into extreme wealth and with a hint of narcissism/emotional immaturity even at his age. Not really the qualities one should have if one is going to be a positive and constructive leader.

I find it depressing.

Oh well.... we disagree again on fundamental issues.

I'll bet he achieves more positive good in 8 months than Obama did in 8 years.

Certainly different from any other President we have ever seen.
Apparently, odds on favourite to be impeached within his first year in office !!

I suspect he'll achieve more harm to the idea and belief in democracy in the US, than he'll achieve in positive good.

And besides, he'll just claim success, even if all evidence points to the contrary.

My bet is on resigning for health reasons, or to spend more time with his family. The US won't impeach him unless he refuses to step aside.

Although for such an 'anti-establishment' candidate, I wouldn't be surprised to see the 'establishment' take him apart piece by piece, as a means of re-establishing their credibility.

This is a president who seems to avoid daily intelligence briefings, but quotes Fox News as a source of world information.

Whether it's because of a media conspiracy or ineptitude, I think he'll achieve very little in the next 7 months. His administration is already in relative chaos, which is not a good sign.

And that's besides the failure to recognise/acknowledge the significant achievements of the Obama administration, despite massive obstacles (even though some were disappointed).

There can be very little doubt that what success he has achieved has been as a result of a combination of his personality/deal making traits and a very heavy dose of support from his father. He started with millions and doing nothing but sticking them in a tracker would have made him more wealthy than even he claims to be now (which is almost universally accepted to be an exaggeration of his wealth). And the fact that he has been bankrupted previously and subsequently bailed out by his father goes a long way to explaining what success he has had (that sort of risk taking isn't easy for people without massive family wealth backing them up to take).

Its also notable that 300m of his wealth is from rather questionable loans from the Deutsch bank.

Who interestingly, he sued when they tried to collect 40m on a previous loan. His claim being they 'were part of the economic crisis'. Its rather interesting that a bank, that you sued, would lend 300m to someone who had refused to pay back 40m on previous loans.

None of which is possibly related to the Russian arm of the Deutsch bank being found complicit in laundering over 10bn in illegal funds from Russia.

I'm sure that the establishment will be trying very hare to make his presidency a failure.
Even if I was anti Trump, I think I would find that a hard bandwagon to cheer on.

I think Trump seems to be doing a rather top notch job of failing by himself, with a little help from his inner circle.
