Well, you don't have a choice if you have to defend yourself. Is it 1939 there are distinct echos. Warnings about the international situation, probably to be ignored. The army run down only 73,000 is not a convincing conventional force. Recruitment and retention an admitted privatisation failure, the 1930s a tory decade. US generals doubt our capacity to fight. I can imagine Sunak waving the piece of paper, it's certainly different. You forgot to include crypto-communists like you undermining the country.

United States to station nuclear weapons in UK for first time in 15 years, Pentagon documents reveal. Moscow warns of 'escalation' as warheads to be housed at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk. I am not best pleased to hear about this. It's a US airbase leased from the UK and those additional warheads (extra our own already in the UK) will serve as a deterrent as well as add to NATO's capability to defend itself. Russia would have to attack for that to happen. There are 81 fifth generation (state of the art) F35 stealth fighter bombers in the UK. 48 of those belong to the US airforce at Lakenheath. It's therefore a logical place to store the warheads. I was thinking of moving to Suffolk, however, I may hold off for a while.

It will be better to be under a bomb than survive in the fallout.

Is it just total incompetence or corruption? Probably both. Britain has fallen to its worst-ever ranking on a global corruption index with experts calling for “urgent action” from ministers to restore confidence in political and public life. Daniel Bruce, chief executive at Transparency International UK, said: “The continued fall in the UK’s score shows a country heading in the wrong direction. It’s clear that business leaders and other experts are more concerned than ever about political corruption and the abuse of public office in the UK.”

Quite staggering - 70+ now the only category where the Tories are more popular than a pretty uninspiring Labour. An average of just 10% of voters amongst under 40s intending to vote Conservative. Labour already won more working-age votes in 2019, and that will be even more extreme this time round. A major spell on the sidelines pending for the Tories, and it’s hard to argue they deserve anything else. Attachment: B76D35CE-DAD0-42A3-973A-E3C83248293A.jpeg (66.81Kb)

The left and social liberals filled our country with these people. Gave them the same rights as native British who have no divided loyalty and only this one home. Called us 'racists' (even though we are less 'racist' than the imports) for pointing out the injustice and downgrade they forced onto the population without their consent. [Tweet Link]

Edited by Stirlingsays (30 Jan 2024 8.52pm) Interesting, albeit you can never be sure what was edited out. Conscription would seem to be a path to reducing the number of immigrants who have no affinity for the country.
