It’s not the fault first time the people have been poor but it’s the first time we’ve been awash with immigrants. They can Manipulate the figures, but give facts along with it. Steely is ignoring that the people who are appearing in these statistics as being subject to 'Victorian' levels of neglect have access to many times over the provision and wealth available then. The left aren't honest.....they don't want to focus upon where these problems are. Responsible families provide and blaming the state (which is the taxpayer) is quite frankly not fair and it's a disfigurement of where the responsibility lies. There are exceptions where the state takes on the moral support as the alternative is much worse but they are not the norm and it's impossible to expect otherwise. Scurvy and Rickets? One is caused by a lack of vitamin C. Oranges are not exactly expensive in the grand scheme. Which one of these is about Victorian level poverty? Your party political twaddle is getting really old. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (23 Jan 2024 4.53pm)

The tories have undone a hundred years in just a decade. From a rich country that knew it was rich, to a poor country that still thinks it is rich. A country of poor people, or scraping by, with a few very wealthy. Malnutrition, scurvy, rickets poverty levels it is almost impossible to believe. This report, from 84 NHS Trusts they deal with it every day. And you are worse off being poor than in practically any other EU country as income levels are not enough to meet basic needs.

There are foil-headed nutters who wont vaccinate their kids; but mostly it is getting the message across to largely newly migrated families or those communities not heeding the message. You can take a horse to water... Diet used to be about people buying things like meat, vegetables and so on and preparing food. However, whole swathes of the population have lost the skill to prepare anything but ultra processed foods. When there was a certain level of disposable income, their kids got most of the nutrients they needed from the rubbish they were fed, but far too many calories, salt and bad fats. With the money dwindling, now they are simply fed less UPFs meaning their diet doesn't even meet their base level nutrient needs. This is not entirely the fault of this government, but it has happened on their watch.

You would think that thousands of people would be fleeing this hell hole in small boats to get to France wouldn't you?

But you came back. So you don't believe your own nonsense Steely. You just hate the hand that feeds you.

Do you ever bore yourself? The rise in diseases has nothing to do with poverty. Labour will spend more on the welfare state and further tax people who actually bother to earn a living. A recipe for disaster if ever there was one. You are far too old to still believe in the Labour Party.

Hinkley Point C could be delayed to 2031 and cost up to £35bn, says EDF. As nuclear plant is hit by further delay, real cost will be far higher after inflation is included. Really, more like another HS2. Tory incompetence. billions down the drain, probably will never work anyway. 14 wasted years.

Rishi Sunak battles to kill coup bid as top Tory warns of election 'massacre'. The other parties will, I think, prefer him to stay, as he has so little in common with voters. Certainly, doing a good job for India.
