The quest of refugees is always North-west. So send them to live in Northwest Iceland. Angela Merkle will lavish them with eurodollars if the local jobs market is a little quiet.

With covid crippling crews ships companies such as P&O I would love to see the older decommissioned boats used as floating holding centres. These boats hold 3000 people, wonder if it's ever been discussed? I remember the cambra was used in the Falklands war as floating hospital, so under national crisis this idea has been used before.

If a woman cannot hold onto a partner in a country that is wholesaling importing hundreds of thousands of single men ? then she is the textbook definition of undateable. And you can find them in every pub and office.

Really France are just gearing up to say 'not our problem'. I very much doubt they're putting any effort into stopping this.

Is that the Campaign For Real Boats?
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Many year ago Immigration Dept attempted this using a decommissioned passenger ferry, it was used to house many Sri Lankan Tamils, who were arriving in their hundreds. The ferry broke loose from its moorings and those on board had to be rescued. Idea never used again.

I believe we already contribute tens of millions each year to the French to ensure that this does not happen. Not exactly value for money when this is going on. Edited by BlueJay (10 Aug 2020 6.45pm)

Do we really believe they are doing all they can? Sounds a bit of a threat to me
