Donald J Trump was inaugurated as the 45th President of the USA on January 20th 2017.

Look... even Wikipedia know that!

Its the 'best President ever'. Its like a joke that keeps on giving. Is there anyone else left outside his own inner circle that he hasn't alienated. Even Fox News and the Republicans seem to have turned against him.

Its like watching a Chris Morris sketch in real time. I though Bush was occasionally entertaining, but a least his 'puppet masters' keep hold of the strings.

This guy, its as close as you'll ever get to seeing just how well that loud, opinionated idiot in the pub could actually cope if he was 'given the power'.

I don't need to watch comedy anymore, I just have to watch the US news.

Liberal left is really only a term used by those on the fringes of the right wing, to explain anything that isn't right wing. It literally refers to everyone else on the political spectrum (and increasingly the more moderate right wing).

Its one of those darling right wing snowflake terms to present how everyone, even the facts, are against them, and everyone is lying to them - its bunker mentality rhetoric used by people in denial.

Its everyone else who's wrong, the liberals, the democrats, the left wing, the academics, the media (even when it right wing bias media if it disagrees), politicians, the judiciary and so on.

Basically, its denial mentality.

Nonsense, the term is used by the media (both right and left). It is even used by people belonging to the liberal-left themselves. Of course it isn't 'used to explain anything that isn't right wing' and of course it does not 'literally [LOL] refer to everyone else on the political spectrum' - I wouldn't call a fascist 'liberal-left', I wouldn't call a communist 'liberal-left', or Green Party member it for that matter.

A nice bit of one sided rhetoric.

I'd say that the left and liberal are far better at denial and ignoring reality. They are usually engaged in rhetoric and political games, desperately attempting to justify their inflexible ideology and avoid facing obvious eventualities.
It is often driven by envy, persecution complex, naivety, self loathing, delusions of moral superiority or idealism.

I know everyone likes to assume that every muslim headed for Iraq and Syria, are fervent IS fanatics but don't for get that there are volunteers also fighting with the Syrian Rebels, Syrian Loyalists and Kurdish forces.

Also, as note before, if you try to calculate the percentage of population that has left for Syria / Iraq, its so low, it will crash you windows calaculator.

Here are some figures for people in various European countries going off to chop peoples' heads off, burn people alive and rape women in the name of Allah. (The second column is the number per million of the country's population.)

Belgium 440 40
Denmark 100-150 27
Sweden 150-180 19
France 1,200 18
Austria 100-150 17
Netherlands 200-250 14.5
Finland 50-70 13
Norway 60 12
United Kingdom 500-600 9.5
Germany 500-600 7.5
Ireland 30 7
Switzerland 40 5
Spain 50-100 2
Italy 80 1.5

Actually those are the figures of people who've gone to Syria, but the assumption here is that they're all part of IS, which isn't really established. At least three British citizens have been killed fighting alongside the Kurdish Militias against Iraq, and around 20 women from Europe are part of the Kurdish Women's Batallions.

Even so, 9.5 people per million, is a staggeringly low figure

Well its more about a subsection of the right wing, that are now calling themselves the alt-right - Who attribute everything to bias as if a degree of bias is the same as cover up and lies.

I don't have an issue with the right wing. Just the nutters who blame everyone else, rather than consider they might be wrong.

When you stop considering that, you are lost.

I think you must hold views that you actually believe in rather than clinging to a definition of who you are.
We must all expose ourselves to reality where possible rather than living in a bubble. The trouble is the 'reality' we are often exposed to is usually filtered through several layers of bias. If that bias effectively changes or fudges the reality then it is tantamount to a cover up, deliberate or unintentional.

What we have is far more in the media is editorial comment. Even historical pieces are subject to blatant revisionism and fatuous interpretation. The news is not the news. It is entertainment slanted to be controversial, sensational and pandering to the mob.

Generally I try to expose myself to conflicting new bias, say the telegraph / times and the Guardian / Independent.

The membership of the BNP is estimated at the same sort of figure, 500-600, so presumably you don't think the BNP represent any sort of problem either?

No, I don't. I only have an issue with those who utilise far right politics as a means to an end for violence, or who use it as an excuse to target others in a similar way (or just because they like violence).

I don't like the BNP, or what it stands for, but as long as it is within the law, its ok with me. I don't have a problem with people wanting to be Fascists or National Socialists even, if they actually understand what they're into politically, rather than just for the hate and violence.

That's very liberal of you - illustrates some of the points made previously.

Yeah... cos loud opinionated idiots in the pub often get to be Billionaires and USA Presidents.

The difference with Trump is that he can't be arsed with protocol and diplomacy.... he gets things done.

I find it refreshing.
