I saw that being reported. Is it me or is it just oddly worded? Why would you agree terms with 3 clubs? Why do they say Wilf has agreed terms with 3 clubs, now he has to decide? Does it mean that his agent has had 3 acceptable contract offers in?

Lazio might be of interest, Fenerbahce is a retirement home and Al-whoever is a retirement and a huge pension. I'd be surprised if any of these were preferable over Palace (if true) but I am not Wilf.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Provided of course they haven't lost interest and starting importing lacrosse players or crown green bowlers.

I would argue it’s Palace who have earned the right to know what he’s up to given the amount of money he earned out of his last contract. Holding Palace to ransom for any period of time reflects badly on him and to be honest reflects poorly on the team too, as they should be more pro-active in finding a suitable replacement. Imagine the furore if we get within a few weeks of the window closing with no Wilf and no replacement. I always find it baffling that people still criticize the players for earning money. The club offered the man a salary to play for them, he accepted that contract and then gave us probably the best 5 years of his career in the process. It's not Wilf's fault that he was offered that money by the club, they paid him what they felt was his value. Same as we were quoting other interested clubs £80m to buy him, that was his value to us. I also wouldn't say he is holding us to ransom - the club can walk away from the deal too if they feel it's not right for them. If they allow Wilf to "hold us to ransom" then that's not Wilf's fault, that's down to poor management of the club. For what it's worth, I don't think we will replace Wilf simply because we just can't. Therefore, we may see a new system in place from Roy and co that may not need a direct Wilf replacement. I wouldn't panic about that, I'm sure they know what they're doing alot better than anyone on this website or in the stands

Sooner or later we will have to move on from Wilf. If not now then in 2-3 years. Ideally he should do 2 more years with us and then go to a saudi team.
