The Washington post took down Nixon because the editor would only print what was confirmed by 2 named sources. Nixon could bluster as much as he liked but they caught him bang to rights. The current crop of journalists at the WP should hang their head in shame they have destroyed the reputation of a first rate investigative paper.

The US Democratic media, which is a high majority of it....Lied continuously over Trump. Many of its lies were stated as true by posters on this very thread over years in fact. It has its own phrase now...blue anon. Here is Tim Pool on just one of the lies used against Trump, all over the media, which is now revealed as fake. The fake quote used by the Democratic media was used in Trump's impeachment brief. Edited by Stirlingsays (16 Mar 2021 3.21pm) Listen to Trump's own words in this video and explain, whatever the surrounding context might be, how they can be explained away as somehow not seeking to interfere in the election process which is the responsibility of the individual States? He simply had no right to speak to a State official in that way. Questioning the validity of the result was bad enough but pressurising in this way was completely unacceptable. That the Washington Post then published a now corrected story in the following days about another call with another official just confirms this. That call DID take place. Trump DID exert pressure. The Post's reporter did though get some detail wrong. It's hardly a big deal when the bigger picture of what was happening is looked at. This is the correction:- It seems that the Trump apologists will stop at nothing to try to defend his indefensible behaviour and mercilessly attack the smallest error by the media, who, contrary to Trump, have corrected and apologised. That other outlets haven't is really unimportant in the context of the bigger picture. Only those who want to be fooled by this are going to be. Trump was a disaster and the world is a much better place without him in the WH.

Reports out that Russia interfered with the election in favour of Trump and so did Iran against Trump. Report says neither made any difference.

There was enough real life experience of a Trump presidency to overcome the Russian efforts. The fascinating finding is that China did not do anything, despite all the claims on the right.

When cornered accuse your accusers of your own sins without offering any evidence at all. Chucking mud is the response of those whose arguments come from the gutter.

When it comes to the gutter you're far more experienced than me. You know only the gullible or a liar believes a report that produces outcomes that apt exactly the foreign policy attitudes that the corrupt Biden wishes to pursue. Aggressive towards Iran. Traitors in multiple senses of the word. Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Mar 2021 9.24am)

Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Mar 2021 9.24am) As I have had no experience at all of the gutter that's an impossibility and just further confirmation of your use of Trumpian tactics. No-one with any grasp on reality really believes that a report which is confirmed by others produced by the security forces is anything other than wholly objective. Those who constantly see political motivations behind facts they find uncomfortable need to realise that wishing things were true doesn't make them true. Two and two always equals four. Ensuring that your foreign policy follows the facts makes perfect sense. The only corruption to be seen comes from those seeking to corrupt those facts.

I suppose you would say that about anything that appears to support your blinkered belief system.

Do you seriously believe that the security services of the 5 eyes countries allow their work to be influenced by politics? That politicians may try to use their work for political ends is completely different. I don't have a "belief system"! I look at facts as evidence. I consider what people say and then do.

This was a report by the US Office of the Director of National Intelligence: Full to the brim with Democrats. It is not a collaboration by the 5 eyes.
