If I was a Ukranian who had to make a deal with somebody then Putin would look like the better option because he does have a certain 'Ronseal' appeal in that he does what it says it will on the tin. As opposed to a West who are utterly impotent, having actually cut their own balls off (and who literally support children having the right to do so themselves). Deal with Moscow, not Washington, would be my advice because at least with the Russians you tend to deal with people who do what they say they will. All breakaway states of the soviet union are corrupt as f*** however most 'new' countries usually are, actually id argue you'd struggle to find any country that isnt rotten. my sympathies lie with the people of Ukraine.

It looks like Putin's expectation of a quick smash and grab isnt working. No doubt he will crush resistance sufficientky to install a puppet governmeny who will permit permenant troops, but Russia will face long term reistance on the ground, and the sanctions and expulsion from all world events will continue for a very long time. Putin wont compronise if he makes him look weak. He would rather see the economy of his nation take a kicking, and if people start compaining at home, well beat them up throw them in jail. Easy.

Hear is the Western response to the current crisis. UK - Our intelligence services are hard at it, checking their white privilege and pronouns that is (I kid you not). When they have done that they will get around to checking what the Russian are up to. Anyone got a non gender specific map of Russia? Germany - Nothing to reliant on Russian energy. Italy - Are hard at it, selling luxury goods to the wives of the oligarchs that is. The French - they will sign up to anything you like and then ignore it. The rest, zilch, nada etc. A pathetic response from the whole lot. Boris - Churchillian speech but empty words. Biden - Still trying to remember is it Uruguay that the Russian have invaded? Trump - Still claiming he lost the election. Corbyn / Abbott / Stop the War Coalition. Supporting Russia and blaming the West. Very predictable like a police office claiming that the defendant attacked his fist with his face. Starmer - Doing his Corporal Jones / Captain Mannering trying to look in charge whilst some of his party are off message and talking about Palestine, just in case anyone still had doubts about anti Jewish sentiments in the Labour Party. God us help once there were giants now we have pygmies (Oops MI5 have just told me I can't say that word). People of restricted stature?

Let's not get diverted onto Trump again. It was mentioned, I responded. Trump isn't evil because I say do. It's what he says that achieves that. Nothing needed from me. You hypocritical ****, you mentioned Trump in the first couple of lines of your post, now you have the hubris to say let's not get diverted. I am nearly lost for words at your lack of self awareness but will doubtless find some when your next absurd post appears. I will say this for you, you have thicker skin than a rhino.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

I know nothing of the intricacies of war, however I believe the way to beat Putin is from within his own country. The population is split between the poor who make up the vast majority and will believe anything Putin puts in the media, the new money, educated classes and younger elements/students who aren’t sucked in by his rhetoric and then the vastly rich who carry a lot of sway. If you remove from the rich their rights to travel, prevent investment outside of Russia and take away their properties held in foreign countries then they are going to get pissed pretty quickly. You can be sure that Oligarchs are not going to be too happy losing their money just to assist Putin’s narrative. The current sanctions do seem a bit meek at the moment, what about banning Russians from entering any country, repossessing their properties and kicking all their clubs and individuals out of world sport etc etc. This would automatically put internal pressure on Putin by the world alienating all those with any influence and power in the country. I understand the economic arguments not to do these things but it does strike me as a better route than all out conflict.

I am nearly lost for words at your lack of self awareness but will doubtless find some when your next absurd post appears. I will say this for you, you have thicker skin than a rhino. Here we go again! I suggested recently that you needed to go to Specsavers, and this is more evidence of that need. I said I was responding to a post. Check the one at 12.41 yesterday which included "We saw this with Trump and now Putin" and was what was being responded to. Everything I said, including the request not to get diverted, was as a consequence of that. I suggest that you start to put things into their context before firing off both barrels just because you appear to have an obsession over wanting to criticise me.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |
