Why show that image and not one of the screen underneath where it would appear the driver has a lot more images?

I am obviously not qualified to answer whether 8 images ar enough but the in terms o f quality of image then they look fine to me.

The middle coach of that 3 car train is obscured. That means 2 sets of doors are not visible to the driver.

This picture shows one coach out of four is obscured. The driver had zero ability to see if the doors are clear.

This picture shows a complete CCTV failure on a 8 car train, the problem was when the trains were coupled, the coupling block was damaged by a birdstrike on the Ouze valley viaduct (we have lots of problems there as they breed pheasants there.

This CCTV has low lighting problems, if you look closely you can see the "low light" warnings. Very common problem.

This image is showing someone walking with a suitcase, pretty poor quality, I think even the most anti union type would agree.

Well, as a commuter I have seen a guard lean out of a train once or twice and yell "STAND AWAY" and when they don't they shout it another time to be fair to them and then just shut the doors muttering "idiot" under their breath. I for once sleep easy knowing that if I ever try to jump through the shutting doors of a train someone will yell at me and quite rightly call me an idiot when I ignore him.

Yeah but we all know that's bollox, as it's the Company's Insurer that pays out the compensation for loss, damage or injury to a third party. And they ARE insured and they do not pay as much as the first million pounds of every loss.

There was a full payout after Paddington - which was a rail incident. The point being, of course, that you can chuck in as many little photos as you want, lots of little comments from drivers, from ASLEF, the RMT, Southern etc - but the bottom line is that the unions and Southern are making it s***e for us all. All your constant poacher turned gamekeeper defence of only one side ignores the main issue.
Avoiding that by saying "but look at the cctv" and all the other stuff doesn't change that. And they are all responsible for this situation.

Drivers raised issues with CCTV, Southern refuse to even discuss these, they wrote letters in November and December (latest letter dated 12th Dec) saying they have no intention of dialogue regarding the drivers concerns.

^ that is factually correct.

There are your reasons for the strike.

Even a indication that they would speak about CCTV would have been enough to stop ASLEF asking their members to vote for strike.

^ my opinion based on professional experience.

My personal conclusion is, if you refuse communication with your workforce over their safety concerns, you are to blame for any industrial action.
