live - it's a bizarre spectacle. It'd be funny if only this was not the world we live in.

The absurdity of a president who can contradict himself in a single sentence and then fail to explain that contradiction without banging on about how he won the election, how great he is and how only he knows the truth, is amazing. The man is like a child, who thinks he's the best in his class, despite being average.

The point of experimental models is to isolate significant variables and identify qualities that contribute in a highly significant and thus probable manner, to establish as 'most probable' explanation. Typically, by establishing a pattern of statistical relevance of .95 or higher, or a correlation factor of above 7 (on say the Pearson correlation co-efficient). That is of course when you cannot so a direct causal relationship (such as seen in laboratory models in Chemistry or Physics). That is a very long winded way of saying that if something looks like, smells like, and sounds like something, it probably is.

The man is like a child, who thinks he's the best in his class, despite being average. I thought the same, his debating skills are much akin to a 10yr old in the playground... How long will it be before the American president settles an argument by saying "my dad is richer than yours!" It's the first time I could bring myself to watch a live press conference with him but wanted to as I know how edited snippets the press use can be misleading and used to serve their agenda. However this press conference in full was just absurd. References to fake news (Orwell's vision is inching closer and closer), bragging how 'we'll sort out n.Korea and Iran' and then just the obscene level of patronisation. The only beneficiary I can see is Adam Curtis who will have enough content for a few sequels of Hypernormalisation after a couple more weeks of Trump's presidency.

In testing an null hypothesis, you're effectively dismissing less probably cases based on statistical relevance / testing. Everyone has bias and prejudices, that's pretty much normal, what is significant is how aware we are of them, how well we can validate that prejudice / bias as well founded and how far we will let others exploit them to manipulate us. I'm very bias against Trump, not because he's not a good politician, or his views, but simply on the basis of being incapable of formulating a reasonable argument. Sometimes, you can be right to be biased against something. I'm biased against Fascism and Communism for example, and with very good reason. So if it looks stupid, acts stupid and does stupid things, it might just be a stupid. I reserve the right to be won over by policy. I did like the idea of increasing import duties on US company's that have left or leave the US. But I haven't seen him signing that executive order yet.
