You mean 'owe'. Life isn't always about owing people something. Making decisions that result in the greatest positive change to a life or lives is also an option. You may as well just go a step further and say that you don't owe anyone anything. A zero rating all round.

"My interest is in people I can relate to..." indeed. If someone's from a different place, or sounds a bit different, looks a bit different, it's 'jog on mate' or 'here's a tenner, now stay away'. We can't all live next door to Terry and June. Sounds like you might be interested in starring in a Rising Damp remake mind.

We're taking refugees from camps. That doesn't mean you're "heartless or a lesser human being" unless you open your borders totally. Who has ever said that? You're the one ticking off reasons for how you justify totally writing off the value of men leaving Syria with their families..

I've probably given more to foreign charities than you....As usual your stereotypes are a poor understanding of views that don't coincide with your own.

As for who has intimated those comments, maybe you should read the thread.

Pointless, baseless 'my dad's bigger than your dad' style comment. I've given plenty to charity, primarily because I care, not to use as leverage online.

You're the one who says you can't relate to certain people and as such you're 'not interested' in them. That's the ultimate and depressing 'poor understanding'. Love thy neighbour as long as it's not you, you or you.

The truth is never pointless, never baseless.

I never said I 'can't relate' to foreigners. I never said I'm 'not interested' in them...I obviously am....Again, well done Mr misrepresentation.....Back to your old tricks again.

I think you are one of those people who isn't averse to treating accuracy and truth as some kind of bendy plastic. It's funny in a thread about ethics to see you operate.

You're just an overly emotional reactionary with an unfortunate record on misrepresenting people's arguments.

"My interest is in people I can relate to...i owe foreigners nothing" suggests your interest isn't in people you can't relate to and that those people are 'foreigners'. If you don't mean something, don't keep coming out with these statements then claiming you're being misrepresented.

It sits well with your attack on Syrian male refugees. I suppose that didn't happen either?

How else do you respond to silliness along the lines of "i've married an immigrant, have you?'" and word for word "I've probably given more to foreign charities than you". They're both laughably juvenile things to say so I have no problem with highlighting them as such.

Thus far, donated to the children's appeal, but this is one of those questions where no answer is good enough. I notice more people are coming out and saying they will open up their homes. You look at the comment section on these articles and people are slagging them off as 'wealthy do gooders'.

No Codger, you stop putting words into people's mouths. I say what I mean. You should respond to what I type, not your own invention of it.

You that I state I 'can't relate to certain people' and that I said I'm 'not interested'.

You make extrapolations......One is the truth and the other is your angle on what someone said.

This happened last time and it's starting to grate.

I cut and pasted your actual words in the last message. If you come out with these things you don't get to dictate how people reply.

You seem to have these firm opinions on my contributions but equally it's very apparent that you have very little understanding of how yours are perceived and of your own misrepresentations. But I really don't care. Find something worth getting annoyed about.
