Thought the BBC programme was fairly predictable last night. They know that the chances of Labour under Corbyn winning an election are extremely slim, which just means another anti-BBC Tory government until 2020; more than enough time for the corporation to be changed beyond recognition.

Auntie BBC has been more like Comrade BBC for a long long time now. Blatant left wing bias wherever you look. It's hardly surprising that the Tories have finally had enough of their loonie lefty liberal (small l) luvvie propaganda. It's high time the Beeb became the unbiased public service and entertainment channel it is meant to be.

Edited by Scucca (08 Sep 2015 9.02am)

Hyperbole in the extreme. The BBC is probably liberal rather than left wing in any real sense of the left, which places it roughtly in the center of the political spectrum. No means of communication about politics can be unbiased, the very nature of communication and language propergate individual bias and influence.

The BBC is probably liberal rather than left wing in any real sense of the left

Interested how this always gets trotted out. Probably fairer to describe it as "progressive" though also have to note that its two most senior political correspondents Nick Robinson and Jeremy Paxman are both Tories

He's but a quiz host for the BBC.

He was also on the shortlist to be the Tory candidate for London mayor

I didn't say he wasn't a tory. Though he did say himself that he didn't vote recently.

He isn't a BBC political correspondant, senior or otherwise. He works for C4 now.

Jeremy Corbyn will make an excellent leader of the Labour Party.

Pretty slanderous talk there Matt.

Thousands have joined the Labour party since the result was announced today.
Interesting times.

Would those 'thousands' be the Trot 'affiliates' who paid the £3 to vote in the election?

An interesting journey to financial, political and electoral oblivion. The party that couldn't run the country elects a man who couldn't run a bath. Absolutely delighted with this outcome, fair to say.

Never a truer word said!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Would be great - though unlikely - if he continued as leader till the next election.
Great for the Tories - and probably the Liberals too who could reoccupy their traditional left of centre ground!

[Link] That's a report about 14,500 people joining the Labour party since Corbyn the unelectable was elected. It doesn't include those that were 'barred' from voting, as they still remain members of the party having paid their 3 quid.

Interesting that he's asking the public to send in questions to ask David Cameron during PMQ this week, not sure if I approve. Not sure if it's a bit gimmicky. Truth is, mp's represent their constituents, so should know what constituents' concerns are. Parliament is a place for airing this, mp's are their constituents mouthpiece. Thats what they're paid for isn't it?

Tis pleasing to see that Corbyn has appointed a shadow secretary for mental health. A societal problem for which help and solutions are massively, massively underfunded.
