Chelsea are poor value at 4/9

less than a 50% return for a 'banana skin' cup match away from home? Boro are hardly mugs and Chelsea's form is wobbly. Are Chelsea's rich boys ready for a battle on a freezing wednesday in February up in the North East? We'll see but I certainly wouldn't back them with my hard earned.

Edited by Pussay Patrol (27 Feb 2013 12.02pm)

Boro are s***, this month alone Ipswich beat them 4-0, Barnsley beat them 2-3 away, WE beat them 4-1 and Scumwall beat them 1-2 away.

I should really have put them in -1.

True but form goes out the window in the cup.

Bookies have priced Chelsea about the same as Swansea were to beat Bradford - 4/9 / 2/5 - rubbish value

True. Mboro have nothing to lose. They've lost loads of games running up to this so it won't scare them to have a go. If betting was up to 90mins then Chelsea 4/9 away at Mboro in the FA Cup is a good shout. Unfortunately it may go to Extra Time.

Tried to get on board just after half time with Chelsea at 1/1 EVENS but it got suspended as the bet slip came up. They scored and I think it went to 1/6.

My fav's this Saturday are:

1. BRENTFORD 8/11 v scunthorpe (Paddy's) (others 4/6)

2. DONCASTER 8/11 v Hartlepool (Coral) (others 4/6)

3. NOTTS COUNTY 1/1 v Carlisle (most) (Paddy's 10/11)

Then there's

4. CHELTENHAM 4/6 v afc Wimbledon

In trouble Swindon and going nicely Coventry

5. COVENTRY 6/4 v Swindon

6. CREWE 4/7 v Pompey (Coral) (Others 1/2)

7. Oxford v PORT VALE 13/10 (Pussay P knows about Oxford)

Anyone fancy:

Blackpool v BRISTOL C 4/1

O'Driscoll is noone's mug and Paul Ince is.

Or:

Southampton v QPR 3/1

Both good bets IMO.

City will be confident having sunk 5 past Barnsley, and Blackpool are in poor form. Having said that, looking at Ince's record, he normally gets some big wins in his first couple of matches, it's later on that he gets found to be utterly clueless.

I've been saying QPR will pick up a result for a few weeks now, bound to happen sooner or later.

One thing I can't understand on this thread is how often QPR are tipped up.

Out of every team in the top 4 divisions they are probably the last team i'd touch. Against Man U someone commentating said QPR players looked like they couldn't be bothered.

I wouldn't touch Oxford / Port Vale. Oxford can be brilliant one game then piss poor the next. Which Oxford will turn up saturday?

Donny should beat Hartlepool but the latter have found their form so personally I would swerve that as well.

tbf they're not tipped that often. Once every couple of months at the most.

Baring in mind I posted this well before Mark Lawrenson's does his tips, this is what he's saying on this one. (not that I'm necessarily going to back this result as there's others out there)

'I keep waiting for QPR to win, and they will do one of these days!

They are definitely due a victory, and with matches against Sunderland, Aston Villa, Fulham and Wigan coming up after this one, they have a stretch of what you would call winnable games, although I know that does sound daft for a team that has only won two out of 27 league games so far this season.

Harry Redknapp goes back to one of his former clubs knowing that Rangers are running out of chances, and this has to go down as one.

Southampton have made a bright start under new manager Mauricio Pochettino but they have only won once and the majority of their results have not been as good as their performances.'

Lawro's prediction: 1-2

Funnily enough Lawro has tipped a couple of results I see happening (no doubt others do too) in games with tempting odds instead of just the Prem games where you're more likely to get 1/2, 1/3 or 1/6.

Stoke 2 - 0 West Ham

Sunderland 2 -1 Fulham

Live in play - Under 1.5 on the palace game 11/2 well worth a tenner to return 60.

Stuck 16 on it to return 104 quid. Easy stuff, probably best to just bet on Palace as I know what's gonna happen with them!
