Yeah, I'm sure everyone notices just how progressive Cornwall is.....progressives moving to conservative areas while advocating for change.....yeah we know what that is. 'Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire.' (Gustav Mahler)
Here we go again. Another ridiculous jibe at where I currently live, as though that means I cannot think, haven't lived, or travel, elsewhere from someone who lives, as I used to, in Wisbech. A town a very long way from any major city. From personal experience, let me assure you there are many more progressives here than ever there are in Wisbech, which is probably the most backward town I have ever lived in.

Edited by W12 (30 Jul 2022 5.55pm) That's absolutely no surprise at all! I would be quite disappointed if you did. You are so far detached from reality that anything approaching common sense must be difficult for you to comprehend.

I'll have you know that the webbed hands and feet rate has fallen dramatically in recent years. Especially since that surgery opened up.... No one talks about incest anymore.....we just count the number of disfigured people walking down the street. Wisbech isn't backward.....low set admittedly.

It obviously wouldn’t be needed if the people who did bad things to their bodies had to pay their own health care. Tbh the tax would be missed as it far outweighs the spend on said people within the nhs. I think fag tax take is about 6 x what the spend is treating conditions it creates. Also reduces the surplus population. Who knows what the multiple against food and drink is. Probably 10 or more x the spend so in reality bad is actually good for the economy

Having lived somewhere isn't necessarily a qualification though is it? How interested are teachers in opinions based on the fact that someone went to school a few decades ago?

The perpetrators of the rapes are essentially seen as being part of a much wider group of 'victims' and therefore not actually held accountable for their actions. Whereas the victims of the grooming gangs, by and large, come from the more desperate fringes of the wider white working classes, whom they naturally despise anyway, on a multiple of levels. Girls, and their wider communities, who can be happily offered up as almost compensation for what the big bad Brits did with their Empire. A cheap price to pay, or at least in their eyes, with these girls essentially just welfare state nobodies. Throw in the ability of the pakistani Muslim community leaders to shepherd collective postal voting drives, thereby delivering local Labour councils working majorities and a Police force in which promotion above a certain rank becomes subject to buying into the wider 'Common Purpose' course taking requirements and adhering to the entire multi-cultural dogma, and you have the perfect storm. I am also convinced that Tommy Robinson is being used as a state-sanctioned lightning conductor for the issue. The more noise he makes (and he makes some great noises), the more people shy away from actually raising the issue because of fears of being associated with him. Essentially even the discussion of the issue means that you can be labelled as a TR supporter. Quite clever when you think about it, and a great example of how politics operates at those levels.
