Not sure why this is of interest to a UK audience? But if there's a chance for the BBC to mock Christians in the US, then it's fair game.

So if you are a prominent male women can make all sorts of unsubstantiated allegations against you. However if you try to protect yourself from this by ensuring you are not alone with women you are then called sexist, discrimination etc.

I believe the words eat, cake and want spring to mind.

I would have thought the woman should be happy he showed her respect.
At any time a reporter can shall we say manipulate the truth.

The logical conclusion of the 'me too' generation and a tsunami of sexual abuse allegations.

I understand that as it's what I do but any dividends over the limit is taxed at the usual rates anyway.

There are tax savings but not on a massive scale and it still doesn't answer my point that if the BBC pay their tax for them it's a benefit in kind and therefore taxable.

It's also not exactly good PR for the BBC to pay the tax on behalf of it's millionaire presenters at the same time as making the skint over 75s effectively pay this tax for them

I haven't read the whole thread so may be jumping in at the wrong point.

However

IR35 changed recently so that it is down to the 'employer' to determine whether someone is to be taxed as self employed or is in effect an employee. The change was brought in first in the public sector. As a result most public sector organisations are treating all people as employees even when they clearly are self employed contractors for fear they will end up lumbered with paying the PAYE anyway upon investigation by the Revenue. Therefore those that work through limited companies are being subjected to PAYE now. So effectively the tax is being paid by the employer on behalf of the contractor. But it's a sloppy shorthand for a complex situation.

Typical BBC.
BBC News - Trump to congresswomen of colour: Leave the US
[Link]

The BBC make the heading line "leave the us"
For a shock head line when in fact trump says "why don't you go go help fix, then come back"
BBC are showing their bias well truly here knowing some people don't read past the headline

Of course he can. When it suits their agenda it's fine. If it doesn't you get the sack or a month of diversity workshops. At least, no one gives a f*** what Lineker says: just an irrelevant, overpaid tit with expensive clothes and accessories. He only did tap ins for ten years of his career too. Frankly, Sorloth could have scored most of them.

I was agreeing with you up to your final sentence, where you seem to have suddenly lost the plot.

It was a bit of an exaggeration.

The BBC is doing wall to wall promotion for 'no deal' fear mongering at the moment......well it's been doing it for over three years but it's certainly been opening its legs these past weeks.

The BBC isn't objective and impartial it is a political entity and as such should not be publicly funded in its current state.

The social liberals have destroyed this institution.....it is a prime example of O’Sullivan’s Law.

Why is telling the truth as perceived by most objective observers "fear mongering"? It seems more like responsible journalism to me! Defending "no deal" in the face of such a united opinion from the professionals seems to be recommending we leap off a cliff without a parachute hoping there is a cushion or two at the bottom.

Ah, a law devised by John O'Sullivan, a hard right conservative who advised and wrote speeches for Thatcher. No chance of a bit of tongue in cheek bias there then! Let's write a new law shall we. How about "All organisations that are not actually left-wing will over time become right-wing. It makes as much sense doesn't it? Let's call it the Finkelstein law shall we?
