One of the simple rules I follow is not to back too many away teams in one bet.

Away teams in the league will often settle for a point whereas home teams will tend to go all out to win. Therefore I would sometimes risk one team to win away if I really fancied them and the rest of the bet will be home teams. doing 2 or more away teams is a risky strategy. If a game is level midway in the 2nd half your away team isn't going to bust a gut to get 3 points.

That's why I like Handicap betting so you cover the draw. Draws are the bookies' best friend...

Just a thought....

I never usually do either, but the odds are good and the bet looks like it has a good chance. Its only £10 for an outside treble.

Fiver on

Sheffield United 2-0 Leyton Orient
Rochdale 2-1 Accrington
Gillingham 3-1 Oxford

Returns just under 5,000.

Yes, I know should have just done the euromillions.

Right,

Gillingham have a real selection nightmare,

Swindon have issues and are too short to bet them with issues.

Sheff Utd have won quite a few games on the spin and usually manage to f8ck me over when I get on.

Yeovil away at Colchester is probably a good one at 11/8.

I'm going with Rotherham. 8/13

Bournemouth look okay for this and I reckon they'll bounce back. 1/1 is good value for this IMO.

Grimsby 4/9 after getting their FA Vase out of the way vs P1ssy poor Ebbsfleet at 4/9.

I'll probably do:

Bournemouth & Rotherham double 9/4
Bournemouth & Grimsby double 2/1
Yeovil & Grimsby double 5/2

The treble within a 4fold will probably return over 5/2. The 4fold is 10/1 but nah.

Rotherham draw at home tonight.

Only Brechin and Man Utd left.

Have to say, having waited for the draw so long, ht / ft and 1-1 is a piss poor return.

Fill your boots with Man U and Brechin

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

"Coventry are shaping up nicely." They beat Bournemouth 0-2.

Yeovil lost 0-2 at Colchester.

Rotherham v York was 1-1.

Grimsby were 2-0 up early doors and a formality.

I concede Coventry at Bournemouth was a good bet but Colchester would've been a guess and with Rotherham, draws happen.

Last night was just awful. So many results wrong.

Going for a lump on a treble tonight to try get back into profit.

Chelsea away to Middlesbrough, Celtic away to Motherwell and PSG at home to Marseille.

Should be straight forward and come in.

Odds?

There's some better options this Saturday.

I think the only results I had a good feeling on were Leicester at home and Coventry away. Instead I went with logic only instead.

I prefer Saturdays to midweek anyway, although I've had some good midweeks recently.

Chelsea 4/9
Celtic 8/15
PSG 4/7

£40 on returns me £139.22 with paddy power.

Took a bit of a hammering last night so want to build that back up before the weekends football.

Chelsea are poor value at 4/9

less than a 50% return for a 'banana skin' cup match away from home? Boro are hardly mugs and Chelsea's form is wobbly. Are Chelsea's rich boys ready for a battle on a freezing wednesday in February up in the North East? We'll see but I certainly wouldn't back them with my hard earned.

Boro are s***, this month alone Ipswich beat them 4-0, Barnsley beat them 2-3 away, WE beat them 4-1 and Scumwall beat them 1-2 away.

I should really have put them in -1.
