Agreed. Citeh vs Chelsea last evening (F.A. Cup semi) was SO BORING and nowhere near as exhilarating as a game of chess with which one of the wallies on BBC compared it.
The Premiership isn't a competition. Or rather, it certainly isn't a competition in which twenty clubs start off equal. May the top six go and play with themselves in a European League, leaving the top division in this country to be contested by clubs that are just that rather than international businesses. And if, on top of that, we can have a rule that each club must begin by fielding five players who have come through their youth systems, better still. At least we can't be told that Brussels wouldn't allow that any more.
