The lights were out and it was a bit of a mad scramble by 5/6 guys. One of mates saw what he thought was a nipple and went for it only to announce in disgust "it tastes of nicotine". "Yes said another voice that's my bleedin finger you idiot."

Fulham/Newcastle would need to get ten snookers to catch us. And also us to play like The Faroe Islands for the rest of the season. How many teams have been relegated from 38 points ?
Edited by PalazioVecchio (06 Apr 2021 1.22am) Now that is possible

I want to be entertained not sent to sleep. The Championship is very entertaining. Lots of goals. And maybe for Palace, more wins than we currently manage. Be careful what you wish for. i like to be bored in the Prem and to stick up my thumb to my Charlton/Millwall supporting work colleagues.

The Championship is great if you are doing well but, let's face it, if you go down your ambition is to get back up again, so you might as well do your best to stay up and avoid getting mired in the Championship (or worse) for years to come. I have found some of the football we have played this season fairly unpalatable but I don't want to get relegated. The wins may be fewer in the PL but they are worth more when they happen, particularly against the big boys. Surely there aren't many, if any, victories that we could achieve in the Championship that would come close to the experience of beating Liverpool at Anfield three seasons on the trot and that 3-1 home win against them in 2014, or that 3-2 away win at Man.City and the home win in 2015. Then there are the wins against Chelsea home and away, the 3-0 at home to Arsenal and the 3-2 win at the Emirates. Also those consecutive wins at Old Trafford in the last two seasons!! I just don't see beating Birmingham, Forest, Sheffield Wednesday or Brentford can ever ever come close to the thrill and satisfaction of winning the sort of games mentioned above.

Fulham have 6 games left .....24 points so we are not mathematically safe. We are certainly capable of not picking up another point however I still think that will be enough.
