I’m getting flashbacks of when Villa won only about 3 games the season they were relegated and looked awful, one of the worst ever PL seasons.

Pretty sure one of those we lost 1-0 to them after Hennessey dropped the ball into the net.

It would be very palacey to gift them their first win of the season.

It's just bound to happen. Probably gift them two or three. We will beat Liverpool later in the season, that's us all over.

Regarding Liverpool, they inflicted our biggest home defeat in our history, but have managed very poor results against two piss poor sides.

Tis another must win for us, my biggest worry is to do that we have to score and that is difficult for us and then keep a clean sheet again difficult for us. The draw against Leicester was poor at home especially taking into consideration the key players they rested, so don't be fooled by thinking that was a good result!

I for one am not fooled one iota.

If Vardy had started he would have taken the penalty with the high likelihood that he would have put Leicester 1-0 to the good and there would have been no way back for us.

Prior to Iheanacho taking the penalty, I was commenting to my dear wife that I had had never seen him take a penalty for Leicester adding that in my opinion that none of those who have scored for Leicester from the penalty spot were on the pitch, Vardy,Maddison and Tielemans.

It depends what type of Palace turns up.

Pre-Lewington apoplexy then Eagles 1 Sheff Utd 2

Post-Lewington apoplexy then Eagles 3 Sheff Utd 1.

Sincerely hope we do not gift Sheffield their first win of the season and actually turn up and play to our full potential.

I think we need to win this one against a team we should definitely be able to beat, if we are to banish the poor results against Liverpool and Villa. Otherwise a loss, with Fulham and Burnley winning their outstanding games, would see the Weed drop into 18th place on 13 points, which would mean we are only 6 points (2 wins) clear! That for me is far too close for comfort. COYP!!

My head says its got 1-0 to ShefU written all over it, but you just never know with our team.
We have been more inconsistent this season than previous Roy seasons. I do think the team that scores first will win.

Sheff Utd have actually scored first in 4 games this season, against Liverpool,Chelsea,Man Utd and Brighton and in 3 of those games they opened the scoring in the first 15 mins.

So all we need to do is hold out for a clean sheet for 15 mins, score first, and bobs your uncle?

How many of us would actually be surprised by a 1-0 Blades victory? None I reckon.

On paper we should beat them. But it's Palace.

I can’t see us losing to Sheffield Utd.

A draw at worst but not a loss.

There are many it seems who want a loss!

Not a good look at all!

Willo, when you say commenting to your dear wife I can but imagine some words escaping your voice box which may not be able to be put in type. May I be correct in assuming after vincente saved the pen that red wine bottles were getting warmed up
