It really is a sad state of affairs when we have to talk about a team in their 8th season in the top flight having to play a cautious containing game at home to a newly promoted side. Surely it should be the other way round? Unfortunately that is the situation we find ourselves win.

Prediction we might scrape a draw if we are lucky but I am expecting a defeat.

They've been attacking really well, we haven't.

My last memory of seeing us play them was of Wilf allowing their horrible supporters to get under his skin, inciting him to wave a finger in their direction, for which he was fined.

Not having to admit their fans into Selhurst is the only good thing to have come out of the virus.[/quote

Not having them at any ground tbf , on the whole a nasty bunch still living the 80s mentality, like the spawn of Cardiff and Milwall on crystal meth

I’ve followed Leeds’ progress closely, living just outside of Leeds and being surrounded by Leeds fans everywhere.

We need to approach this game with trepidation I’m afraid. Their quality on the ball and movement off it will overwhelm us. They’ll suffocate us with their pressure, drive and fitness levels.

Kelvin Phillips being out looks like Klich is being moved to a deeper role based on last night which would help us but that doesn’t mean Bielsa will play the same tactics as last night. The pace of Leeds will catch us out and our cautious approach will see us wilt under Leeds’ domination.

The only way I can see is getting anything for this is if we are totally unpredictable in formation and personnel that will flummox Bielsa I i.e Eze, Zaha, Ayew playing behind Batshuayi and being told to put relentless pressure in their vulnerable defence.

Guaita

Tomkins Cahill Dann

Clyne Van Aanholt

Riedewald MacArthur

Ayew Eze Zaha

Batshuayi

I don't indulge in rudeness generally, on this site or elsewhere, but if you can seriously entertain the idea that Roy will play three at the back then I would politely ask for your drug dealer's contact details - that's good sh*t you're smoking.

I’m hoping for a much improved performance over the recent ones we saw against Wolves, Chelsea and the weed.

Either way I’ll go for a 1-1 score line.

Tough game... They generally like to attack and throw people forward, however I cant see there manager doing that against us with how we good we are on the counter... weird to see Bamford doing well.. He was genuinely awful for us... I think it's got 0-0 all over it.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Funny one this. Could be our ideal opposition - like To attack, susceptible to the counter attack.
could play right into Roys hands. Set up hard to break down, and get it to Wilf/Andros as quickly as possible.

but surely Bielsa knows this is how we'll play. Does he have a Plan B?

can't see it being 0-0. but could be anything else, from 1-0 to 5-5 either way... but we need to don our lucky shooting boots...
or in Bats' case, his lucky On-side pants.

On the plus side, CPFC lost their appeal against Luka's red cad, which means he wont be available for Nov fixtures.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Hennessey injured, Luca suspended... Come on Palace! We could only be in better shape if Roy were to pick up a dry cough and temperature in the next day or two and Paddy McCarthy takes temporary charge for the weekend. Eze might start, we might actually try to get the ball in their box and hang on to it for more than 3 passes. I am excited.

With Bielsa we'd probably be top six.
