For someone of my age it is either Kenny Sansom or the brown boy on the wing. In modern times it has to be Wilfred.

Really - on that basis I’m your age and would never refer to anyone “as the brown boy on the wing” - I find that totally unacceptable inappropriate and abhorrent...!!!

Probably the best fun I used to have was when we used to sing 'Super Al'. The first time with the team of course.
I used to also enjoy 'Son of Aylott' which seems a little cruel to Trevor now.
So in a weird way my favourite player was Alan Pardew.
I also think I preferred Bright to Wright, he seemed more loyal and had some better technique than Wright, without the attitude.

Vince for me. Fab Fab winger. I recall him and another player joining the fans in the bar after a game. Like Wilf though he didn't score many.

However the Wright Bright combo was awesome. My god, imagine if we had a pair like that now.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

I think it was the chant of the time. Like the Boney M song. 'Brown girl in the rain' or something. Might not be Boney M but sounds like them.

Come on, you can’t be serious. I assume you did attend matches when vince was playing for us? We loved him and it was his song.

Yes I am serious and yes I did attend those matches - point I am making is that the world has moved on for the better and that those views have no place in modern society let alone sport..!!
