I think we can all blame Hodgson and all stick it to Parish, but I do think within the run that the players really need to take a look at themselves and individual errors. It will be likely 8 defeats on the bounce and I think that it actually highlights how bad the other teams are, that we can lose 8 and still remain comfortably safe. Our pride is gone and we have nothing to lose and a squad that is 'tired'. Play Kirby, Mitchell, Pierrick and chuck a youth team striker on the bench. Just give us some hope or prove that the kids really aren't good enough. Personally, I thought Mitchell look out of his depth and didn't have a good game. I certainly won't judge fully just yet, as he was against Traore. Edited by HerneBayPalace (21 Jul 2020 8.18am)

I thought he did ok. He has a lot to learn but looks to have a bit of pace and is reasonably comfortable on the ball. Constant comparisons with AWB will never help his cause as clearly AWB was a huge talent that only come along once in a while.

Goals win games we need 2 strikers who can get 10-15 goals per season each we also need a creative midfielder. This transfer window will decide if we stay up next season.

There a few ways of looking at our current predicament. Clearly longer term change is needed. We have an aging squad and a majority of players who wouldn't get into a top 10 side outside of Wilf, Cahill and VG. That said, for the time being, we have another chance in the premier league and guaranteed our safety relatively early on. From that point of view, we've succeeded, even if the success we have sometimes seems limited. It's depressing when you look at teams like Wolves and even Leicester who both managed to come up and get into the top 10 and clearly have have more of a strategy at the helm. Unfortunately out owners and manager complain about how difficult it is to get good players in whilst the other teams to do it. I can tell this will be another awful transfer season so lets just hope we see a different team at the start of next season. Shocking end to the season all things considered. I do think it is time for Roy to retire.

I'm actually hoping fans aren't allowed back straight away so the club can't sell season tickets until the window is closed or close to it. For the first time in 20 years of supporting Palace, I'm actually questioning whether I want to go. How sad is that? The club are currently only here to make up the numbers - we offer absolutely nothing else. No entertainment, no effort, no ambition. Nothing.

I wouldn't put it past the club to ask for a deposit to secure your season ticket for whenever they might become available.

The club are currently only here to make up the numbers - we offer absolutely nothing else. No entertainment, no effort, no ambition. Nothing. This is true and very sad, you're spot on. I'd suggest Palace, Newcastle, Brighton, West Ham and Everton are the current small cluster of teams that offer nothing currently to the league by way of identity, excitement or real style of play. The difference with us is that all of the above teams, minus Brighton, have wealthy owners who will pump money in to turn it around sooner rather than later. I am not renewing my season ticket (if we can go) as it really just ruins your weekend. We can win 1-0 and I am not too fussed having watched us grind out a result at home to a sh*te Newcastle side, for example. At least I can currently change the channel and watch something else, knowing that we won't score. Last nights commentary highlight was a 10 min chat about Zaha's boots and him slipping over. We literally offer nothing. Ambrose7's post really sums up how I feel. I cannot wait for the season to be over so I don't have to find the enthusiasm to watch this rubbish.
