The issue with Zaha, is he isn't being used properly.. do other clubs and managers know this, the good ones, the ones who research and care, do... Is Wilf a gamble?? depends on the price. north of 40, that's a gamble... 30/35 is the going rate I would say. A top club, bring wilf on with 30 to go, he can change the game. Would he be the kind of signing for a club like wolves, Everton, even shef utd that want to reinforce that europa spot? Maybe so... I can't see him going abroad and I can't see him staying in the uk to warm the bench or not win anything... my hunch..... Chelsea or Arsenal for around 35 mil or a swap deal... Parish should have sold last summer for 45 mil. Would you prefer if he was sold?

If we get enough money in to pay for someone like Kostic and another decent player I’d still be happy for him to go but anything less and we should be pushing hard to hold onto him. He has more value to us than to a top 6 team in the whole scheme of things.

I don't think Parish will listen to anything less than 50m if it's true that United will take a big chunk of change from any deal. However, I could see a situation where to please all parties the club took say 40/50 up front and then 20-30 in instalments or based on appearances, goals, etc. When you consider that Chelsea have already paid a combined 93m euros on Werner and Ziyech and seemingly have plans to spend more, I wouldn't necessarily buy into the hype about COVID-19 restricting the spending of the big clubs. On the Chelsea front, with these signings the only way I could see them being interested in Wilf is if Willian were to leave, otherwise where would he fit in?

Sell to Chelsea 30 million + Batshuyi off load Benteke and Sakho bring the wage bill down and possibly Fraser in if would come when Bournemouth are relegated as replacement for Wilf.

Just to argue with myself, I forgot to take into account Chelsea's transfer embargo and the fact they sold Hazard for over 100m and Morata for over 50m. With regard to Fraser, the only way he comes to us is if we offer him a big contract north of 80k.

Not sure Batshuyi is good enough. If we could get Loftus Cheek back however then you’re talking! Edited by pompeyeagle (20 Jul 2020 11.45am)

Edited by pompeyeagle (20 Jul 2020 11.45am) I think it was Jamie Carragher who said earlier in the year that Batshuayi doesn't impress him and that he has never been convinced about the player. I believe Chelsea supporters have expressed the view that he is good when he doesn't have time to think about it but when he has time he messes it up.
