I chuckle a lot too. The amount of posters who "know" what is happening in the minds of players, managers, directors, etc, is endlessly amusing. Then there's the amusing phenomenon of posters latching on to words or phrases. Like sheep, they blindly repeat. The most recent key word is 'turgid'. It is used daily, and by posters who I thought were more educated. None of them even bothered to find the meaning. "That sounds good, I'll use that!" But hey! No worries, it keeps me chuckling. In usual circumstances I’d agree with you both, but only ever playing the same players? Roy did this when he had alternatives. I’m not saying sack him with the current finances available, but to say he picks the same formation and nearly always players based on what he sees changing each week and in players’ lives and minds is stretching it a bit in this case.

Strange, I thought the word turgid is quite applicable to our style of play. To quote Collins: “ If you describe something such as a piece of writing or a film as turgid, you think it is boring and difficult to understand.” I think you could describe our performances as boring and our tactics difficult to understand without too much bending of the meaning of the word. But if it keeps you happy, that is the main thing:-)

Or alternatively, keep 'em coming. You're cracking me up.
