Bournemouth v. Palace 8.pm Sat. 20 June on BBC

Likely to the biggest ever live TV audience for a Premier League match.

Sky got around 4 million for a match in 2012

Can’t wait for this.

Being the first game back I’m guessing will bring a hue TV audience.

Be great to keep our winning streak going.

Let's hope we won't cry at the end of it.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Would be good to assist in Bournemouth's relegation and guarantee our place in the PL at the same time.

I will be content with a draw.

I have no antipathy towards Bournemouth. I have availed of their hospitality in the 'Bubbles' champagne bar on more than one occasion!

A draw would be ok with me too. Difficult to predict how things will go with such a long lay-off. Will be interesting to see how the first couple of rounds of matches pan out.

Cynical rotational foulers, no place in PL for tinpot team with joke stadium

I have no antipathy etc etc

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Presumably our injury crisis is now resolved.

I have perused the stats in relation to fouls committed by each team.

This season we committed 317 fouls, whereas Bournemouth committed 269 fouls the second lowest in the PL.
Last season we committed 368 fouls to Bournemouth's 340.

Actually, I used to admire the Bournemouth set up but then encountered their 'supporters' shouting abuse, insulting and jostling everyone in the streets around Selhurst Park. Very crude and extremely unpleasant people. Maybe I expected them to have a bit more class or just act as grown ups but after that, it certainly hasn't endeared me to them.

My 'dream' relegation list this year would probably be Watford, Brighton and Bournemouth. No point in adding West Ham because they'd just have a stonking year in the Championship and be back again this time next year.

Bournemouth supporters certainly do not have a reputation for such disreputable behaviour so this was clearly a very small minority sullying the reputation of their club.

Their supporters have enjoyed the meteoric rise of their club since Howe returned in October 2012. When he joined they were 12th in League One and struggling in 21st position. They were promoted that season after finishing as runners-up in the Division and of course they have now enjoyed a few seasons in the PL.
