Our experiments with creativity haven’t gone too well in recent years though

Possibly but we didn’t have players in the class of Carassco or even Camarasa (Cabaye excluded)

I'm as disappointed as the next man but I'm not convinced that it's down to the Americans although they do seem to be a convenient excuse

Well are they responsible for Ferguson's knee, or being outbid on Bowen? My criticism would be this preference for late deals, which has been the Chairman's preference for some time.

In my mind we should be back to full strength today andall100% fit.
Victory in the air. Give them all we’ve got. Get right behind them.

We're 11th in the PL, bimbling our way towards safety by march and people want to kick off, whilst we're playing a match that we the fans are paying to watch? Possibly the most moronic thing I've heard since "f*** VAR" was chanted whilst awaiting a VAR decision that would benefit Palace was ongoing.

I am "irritated" by the lack of transfers, but we do have players returning from injuries, that'll be like having a clutch of new signings in itself. My major beef is in regards to the ground not moving one iota (bricks and water wise), I naively thought that the financial clout of the yanks would help speed up the process. Even that though is largely beyond their control.

As for Roy, sure i am a little "bored" at times, but results speak and we do actually play some decent stuff, for one half of games anyway! Given our injuries he's performed miracles, the rotating 11s hes had at his disposal would have been cut adrift at the bottom with others at the helm.

We've had a s*** time of it with players out, sure we could have bolstered with 1 or 2 more coming in but none of this is exactly disastrous.

Just chill out and support the team.

If the performance is abject as that against Soton it wouldn't surprise me to hear a few murmurings of discontent. The best way to put all this nonsense to bed is for Roy and the team to come out firing.

Completely acceptable and within our rights. What the OP is suggesting is Newcastlesque, in which case I'll happily get the map out for him and send him on his way.

Rightly or wrongly it will be another Southampton performance today and the discontent will be aired for all to see. It’s inevitable

Never thought I'd see such a post on this forum! What a novel idea (on a Palace supporters forum) actually
having to suggest that we support the team.
Well said sir!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always support the team, if you want to moan about the owners then write to them, they won't hear your protest anyway. I think we're doing great, yeah the footballs isn't up to much sometimes but then how often down the decades has our football been up to much. I go to Palace because they're my team and I support them no matter what, If I wanted glory I would have supported someone else but I come from Croydon and Palace are my local team. Just get behind them and cheer them on through thick and thin !

I am not advocating a show of discontent at the game but the "owners" need to know how unhappy most fans are.

If this was our first January window I could be more forgiving but this must be our 7th and it feels like we have learnt nothing. Roy publicly said what was needed and there was no contradiction from the club. To end up with an 18 year old scot (immediately loaned out) and a forward who can't get into a team below us in the league is pretty pathetic. Even with the injured players back, the squad is dangerously thin and still lacks proper cover in both full back positions.

Yes, we are 11th - but in a poor league and the trajectory is downward. This is not our first year back in the premiership, it is out 7th. We should have moved on from being "plucky" Palace who are just glad to be there. I bet I am not alone at still looking at the bottom of the table each weekend.

Watching Palace at Selhurst is rarely entertaining. The facilities are really poor and prices are really high. I have no faith whatsoever in the ground being developed anytime soon. I feel that as supporters we just get taken for granted and there is now no connection between us and the owners. We are an income cow to be milked. I think that we have a right to show discontent with the people that ultimately carry responsibility for this and that is the owners.

I will always support the club but I don't feel obliged to always support the owners that have bought into the club - some of them to make the club better and some to make a profit.

But if discontent has to be shown at a game it should be by staying after the game ends and in a peaceful but loud manner.

Booing or moaning will not solve anything. We just need eight more points to stay up.

It is disappointing to see us fail in the transfer window again but we lost a player to West Ham, a club given a disgraceful unfair financial advantage just to save a bit of taxpayers money and decided against signing another.

Until we regenerate the ground and increase our income, ideally with new more football minded owners, we are going to sink slowly to inevitable relegation. Parish has done well for us, mostly by luck, but our lack of spending power will get us in the end.
Let's hope for a takeover and a start date for the new stand.
