If PVA, Schlupp, Jairo and Mitchell are all injured for Newcastle I wonder if Tavares will get an opportunity? I believe he's left footed?

Riedewald wasn't stand-out embarrassing was a he? (I mean more than anyone else). I thought his passing in possession was good. Lucky VAR didn t award a penalty against him, mind. Bizarre.

The basic problem is this … While we have a squad of 25 I would say only 15 - 16 are actually good enough to play. Roy realises this so has to play players who should be rested. This situation will only get worse over the next week - sadly I expect more injuries.

Actually it's worse than that as the squad contains 5 goalkeepers so we only have 20 outfield players. Take out six injured or suspended and you are down to 14. And the 14 includes Wickham and Camarasa who for different reasons never play. I think the phrase 'bare bones' scarcely does justice to the thinness of the resources at Roy's disposal.

Even Scott Dann might now be injured. [Link]

Kouyate back to CB and McCarthy in midfield I guess?

Yes, I would think so, Roy saying PVA has a chance to play, any port in a storm.

I'm hearing that Koyate is struggling to be fit as well now!

PvA would be huge lift if he's back, as we look so much more threatening on the counter when he's supporting Wilf. If Dann and Kouyate were both out I guess Woods Would come in, perhaps at right back with Kelly moving to the centre?

This is going to require some real blood and guts to take points tomorrow and I imagine some luck.

Closing down was a problem, way too laid back in everything he tried.

To have 5 to 6 of your first choice defenders out injured would be a tall order for any team in Premiership to deal with, but for a team like Palace the problem is even more of an issue because we have not signed enough cover.

We got slated by the Sky sports team because of our lack lustre display against Brighton on Monday. Not sure if they were aware of our predicament regarding injuries, but it was not mentioned at all.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
