Quite clear Reidewald will not be playing under Roy - even though he is a young prospect, like Meyer. Without being too disrespectful, I guess Dann seems like a young prospect to Roy.

I'm more concerned about his s*** form on the pitch for the past year and a half than his tweets.

In fairness despite his defensive frailties when I heard his name on the ball in their box at the death I did actually think we might score.

Hopefully this will help him with whatever psychological issue he’s probably having with form. He undoubtedly has ability, but there’s been something not right for a year. Not catastrophic, but easily the weak link last season.

He covered the far post really well today. Never saw him as the weak link. I think he gets unfair criticism as an attacking full back because teams like liverpool and chelsea last season always isolate the full backs and unless you’re AWB making eye-catching tackles, you’re going to be beaten fairly often- it just depends where you get beaten and whether you recover.

quality today...fair play to him, he takes pelters from idiots on here but it pretty much always solid. great stat...since he joined the club he has scored more goals than any other defender in the PL.

I think he was helped by Cahill barking instructions at him throughout the game - pointing out where he wanted him etc. Maybe he needed some of that type of leadership as, whilst Sakho is a great defender, he does seem to rather lead by example.

PVA has never been the best defensively and many have asserted he is far better going forward than defending. A modern full back I suppose where coming forward to offer an attacking threat is very much part of the full back role in this modern era.

The whole back 4 was outstanding! Probably a lot to do with Cahill's performance & instructions - thank the Lord above for avoiding the red card. PVA? MOTM for me - scored the winner and made some very important clearances.
