Well said, when I was growing up (80s) it was always Millwall and Charlton, am I right in thinking it supposedly kicked off between Venables and Mullery in the late 70s? If so, as far as I'm aware, it's only become a "thing" in recent times and it's a bit pathetic to be honest.

you really need a history lesson it was kicking off back in 74 when when taylor was weeds manger and allison ours, do you regard ipswich norwich as a pathetic rivalz there just as far apart, the rivalry goes back to the 50s just went up a gear in the 70s

But in order it would be

Millwall
West Ham
Chelsea
Arsenal
Tottenham
Leyton orient
Charlton

Brighton never concerned me at all to me they was just a bog lol!

Has Brentford become relevant for this thread ?

As Charlton diminish , Brentford are on the rise ?

Brighton
Millwall
Charlton
Watford
West Ham
Wimbledon
Man U

Man U just because they are generally a scummy club and Cantona and the 2 FA cup finals. Wimbledon is less relevant now obviously as they no longer really exist. Watford is more recent for me and the rest are self explanatory. West Ham are there just because they are a classless club.

Always been Millwall for me. The Brighton thing was invented by them because they have no local rivals. I grew up in Bermondsey, my Dad was Palace and instilled it in me. All my mates were Millwall but i had a seige mentality and as my Dad said if i could grow up there as a Palace fan it would hold me in good stead for later life. Character building he said.
He died in 2004 just before we started our amazing run to the play offs and i was convinced he was knocking the goals in from the heavens.

Brighton...

then the rest, in terms of dislike more than rivalry

Arsenal
Man U
QPR
Charlton
Luton

and for the oldies, Shrewsbury.

Quite incredible now to think that we played Shrewsbury 16 times in the 80’s and only managed to beat them twice. And even more incredible that they’re now my local team!
